  1. Tend to agree. When Livi came to Dingwall County were extremely poor and Livi were good but not that good. They dealt out some Shock And Awe and prevented County from getting a moment to settle or compose for most of the 90 minutes. I would hope County will match up a bit better in attitude and energy for the next meeting. Other teams will have heeded the lesson too.
  2. So in what way will he improve our midfield? What attributes does he have? Could he more than replace Jamie Lindsay and might he make things happen, like we have been hoping Vigurs would still do? Can he break down opposition attacks?
  3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49554917 County have taken in midfielder Ewan Henderson (19) from Celtic
  4. Surely both teams can't be sh*te again? I'll have a tetchy 1-1 draw please.
  5. I'm hoping to see Grivosti more - he was among the most positive in the Livi debacle. Might be a good substitute for Draper in that midfield role.
  6. Boo hoo etc; but 3 points and credit goes to the convincing winners.
  7. That classy strike from Stobbs came directly from the most comedic County free kick I've seen in a while. County were just not at it, and Livi were very much at it and blew County away. Never gave County a moment to compose themselves, so not a lot of successful passing or decent football on show. Just a convincing and deserved victory.
  8. Like most who had expressed thoughts on this game, I was not expecting that. Livi had great attitude, energy and confidence. County didn't - blown away.
  9. Looking forward to the Livi game tomorrow. With each league fixture we can start to get more of a feel for our chances this season. Good opportunity to add 3 points, to perform well and ideally to keep another clean sheet. Livi will be thinking along similar lines as we are all basement battlers looking to send each other doon.
  10. I savour every top flight fixture while I can, and recommend St Mirren fans do too. Savour this bite as well, as you may not catch much in this corner of Diddydom. XX
  11. Both teams will be happy enough with this draw out of the hat. But who will prove it was indeed winnable... by winning it. ? Bookies and I should say County. So I'll predict a 0-2 Away Win. Mullin is desperate to score so he will, twice.
  12. We can't compete with the wages and opportunities available when an English team comes for our players. We're way down the food chain. But it's no bad thing if the club & coaches can spot potential and improve players to the point where - having done a great job for us - we can't hold onto them.
  13. A much different Premiership opposition than the one County beat last Saturday so I'm not sure what to expect here. I'll predict Hearts bludgeon County to a 2-0 home win.
  14. I reckon the gaffers will select according to the anticipated opposition, and also consider players in decent form who are needing game time. We need as far as possible a whole match-fit squad to make it through the season.
  15. So it's agreed then. We definitely love Ross Stewart. However I wouldn't be too surprised if Brian Graham starts v an extremely physical Hearts side on Saturday. He likes a bit of physical, just needs to ensure he stays on the park.
  16. I know Brian's chip went just over the bar onto the top net v Hamilton yesterday, but Ross Stewart missed an easier chance when he headed straight into the goalie's arms. Keep both. Graham is very competitive & scores goals and Stewart is still improving. It's a long season and I expect the whole squad to be needed.
  17. Hamilton helped County to look good and to perform well in our first Premiership game. Not the Hamilton we previously got used to and frustrated by. The confidence from that game and a good run of early Cup results should help us make a decent game of the trip to Tynecastle next week. Come On You Staggies etc etc
  18. From my memory, Hamilton have been the team that we have generally dominated throughout games and we've then lost or drawn to them. Hoping things will be different without their talisman Imrie and with our confident squad. First game back in the "Scottish Premiership" will also be Flag Day and some celebrations about it being our 25th Anniversary of joining the senior leagues. Hope the party is not spoiled by Rotter Rice doing a Hamilton on us once more.
