  1. Tru Dat. Beware your crunchable bones if it's an "actively trying to get sent off" day. But he's had a great touch in most recent games.
  2. Next up has to be seen as a threat to the unbeaten run. County didn't waste too many goals on Falkirk - saving them up for the party at the neighbours on Saturday. Maybe.
  3. Miserably cold weather forecast for Falkirk game, which may subdue everything a bit.
  4. Looks like Stelios will indeed play. Fonts & Morris still out, so probably Tom G too. rctv also has Steven Ferguson commenting pre-match.
  5. Hopefully Brian will benefit Tom Grivosti in particular for his earlier-than-anticipated entry to the starting 11.
  6. On what basis are you implying that this player is on an extravagant wage? Or was your comment merely for stimulating envious seethe amongst our L€$$ well funded and therefore frustrated and hopeless competitors?
  7. I know we lost the initiative in the 2nd half v Ayr Utd, but performance of Tom Grivosti and in particular Stelios was heartening.
  8. People in glass houses (with managers with round heads) shouldn't throw stones.
  9. Excellent result today at Firhill. Delighted with clean sheet. Noting BBC stats which look quite even except that County had 0 corners to Thistle's 10. It's pleasing that we do seem to be a bit more effective at defending. Mullin is gold. Draper's discipline could be better? Looking forward to hearing from those who were there.
  10. FYI I don't ever remember seeing Murdoch play at full back when at County. Yet to my surprise he proudly wears the shirt that either proclaims him to be a "Number Two" (as he seems regularly to be described here), or a full-back.
  11. Yup. Lindsay and Mullin have been consistently excellent this season so far. I like to think of our "4-5-1" as the considerably sexier 4-3-3. But we can't be too predictable, and we do have players that can play other shapes. I wouldn't want only one centre forward position available every week. McKay was excellent in a poachy kind of role but won't get hat tricks in that manner every week. I think Graham could win us a few games, probably in a front 2.
  12. Well that's cleared that up. We seem to be quite good after all. Well done County! However I thought the first 10 minutes against Dundee United included a lot of hesitancy and poor passes, especially in defence. Fortunately United were just as bad. Then we were good and United weren't. As well as scoring a goal somehow from a very wide right (practically a corner) free kick, I thought Kelly made as good a contribution as most of the team. Quite happy to start him. Our other full-back (Watson?) may not be in that position normally but after settling down also put in a good shift. So Marcus Fraser wasn't really missed. Got to take some encouragement from that result, to take into the Partick Thistle game. And United's confidence must be utterly destroyed.
  13. Priority may be to win the league, but we should also aspire to be building for the future and developing the next generation - many of this squad may not still be in the 2019/20 squad if we do get promotion.
  14. Really? My theory is that he'll have moved on to Queen of the South in the next week or two, then Inverness. He arranges for managers to be sacked then goes to the next team due to play Ross County. Or did the board tell him to "get tae F***" which he interpreted as get tae Falkirk? Well it makes as much sense as any other credible reason so far for making this move.
  15. WARNING! Stand back. Steer absolutely well clear. On no account should you approach this man. Yogi however is a Falkirk lad through and through.
  16. Sorry dear, were you wanting some attention too? You all did very well today. Well done.
  17. Would you Ayr United fellows mind watching the house this week please. The Morton ones will give you a hand. Thanks
  18. That makes sense. It's a bit more nuanced than simply telling us he was offered a new contract. Dow seemed to do well in the game time he had in recent weeks. But we've got too many forwards.
