  1. There's no specific unreserved carriage, on busier trains you just need to find a seat which does not have it displayed above it as being reserved or risk being asked to move. With the expectation being some of the trains to and from host cities will be mobbed you could in theory end up standing all the way if all seats end up reserved. On some trains you may also see 'GGF reserviert' above some seats which means they are reserved for people who have missed connections due to delays so you're fine to sit there but might get moved if someone who has missed their connection and had reserved a seat on a previous train turns up. My experience is some Germans are quite happy to sit in a reserved seat and then seem annoyed if punted out the seat they haven't paid to reserve so I wouldn't worry about it.
  2. The more people that book the more the price will go up as the Super Sparpreis tickets become less available so if you can then book now, especially with it being the route to the city we play in next meaning there'll be tons of Scotland fans in the same boat. If you have tickets to the game then you could wait until 17th January for the euro 2024 train tickets for 29.90euro but these will be limited availability and they've not given much information about how limited they'll be and if you read this thread no one is really sure about what time they'll be valid until the day after games either.
  3. It doesn't recommend where to sit but I'd recommend vagonweb.cz for finding your exact train, the layout of your carriage and pictures of it to judge for yourself.
  4. Based on recent experience of Deutsche Bahn I'd be amazed if you make a 5 minute connection but if that's the case you're fine to get the next available connection. If worried about any hassle you can get the conductor on the first train to confirm you missed it due to a delay in writing. I think you can get the same from the ticket office at the connecting train station too if you have time. I've not bothered with it in the past and the conductor on the next train hasn't cared after I explained about the delay. DB Navigator app will tell you the platform of your connection so if it is all on time you can get there without having to check the boards to save some time.
  5. Brian Graham to annoy big Dunc so much he spends Christmas in jail. Anything else a bonus.
  6. If it's the route that's all Deutsche Bahn trains via Stuttgart or Mannheim then you'll be able to buy them for the day before the game right now on the DB website. If you're travelling on the day of the game it's not on sale until tomorrow (or 11pm UK time tonight). If it's any of the routes that involve the eurostar then it won't be available as the eurostar leg isn't on sale yet.
  7. 1.4m applications for the opening game alone. https://www.dw.com/en/euro-2024-final-receives-23-million-ticket-requests-says-german-football-president/a-67741514?fbclid=IwAR0DBQ_DCg1MoCN8NyYVsgVvMKKF7wXwQhYGtbql7Qr9me9wYo84YYQS6MQ
  8. Gunn deserves some sort of "thank f**k you exist but you aren't player of the year" award.
  9. Nominees are out: Andy Robertson Angus Gunn Callum McGregor John McGinn Ryan Porteous Scott McTominay https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scotland/ee-mens-player-of-the-year-2023/
  10. I'm also not sure there's any regional trains where you can book a seat in advance. I've yet to not be able to get on a regional train due to it being too busy though and I include after football, probably different first thing in the morning when there are commuters though. Also make sure you cancel it before a certain day in the month or you'll get charged for July too, it's a subscription rather than a one off.
  11. I'm seriously considering just keeping my Rotterdam hotel and doing Amsterdam as an in and out job on the night. Choices in Amsterdam seem to be stay in a shitehole or spent a few hundred quid.
  12. LNER and the Caledonian Sleeper are specifically listed in their British train companies so I don't see why it wouldn't. Could always ask interrail directly and ask then they've got a month to reply before they go on sale. https://www.interrail.eu/en/support#contact-us
  13. To be fair to them tickets hadn't sold out at the weekend as there was wheelchair tickets left.
  14. I know it's the other way round from the information the SFA gave but I wouldn't be chancing anything that could get my own tickets cancelled.
  15. Standard away allocation in Amsterdam is 2750 and Rotterdam is 2106. The French didn't even give us the minimum last time since it was a friendly though and if the Dutch move it somewhere else in the country where it's a novelty to see the national team we could end up shafted a bit like we were in Lille. It's near impossible to have an educated guess as to how many points games like this will drop down to these days. It's after the Euros tickets are bought plus people will be saving for Germany which might help it drop a bit but anyone with a bit of optimism might have noticed the last 16 allocation is 6000 rather than the 10k we got in the group stages and want to get the extra points just in case we get through.
  16. Just booked up via Charleroi out the Friday and back the Saturday. Will regret that at the time but doing it as cheap as possible with the Euros coming up. Free cancellation hotels booked in Amsterdam and Rotterdam since the Dutch like to switch between the two.
  17. Nice to see us organising a home game against minnows for a bit of confidence pre-tournament.
  18. Yes there's a link within the email that takes you straight to the access code page (or waiting room as was the case for people yesterday).
  19. Do some research on how much the intercity trains normally cost for the journey you're making as they go on sale 6 months beforehand and the deals for match ticket holders are limited without much detail as to how limited. By the time January 17th comes around if you miss out then prices may have went up for normal fares. There's a couple of trains I'm getting that I'm just planning on booking in December and not taking the chance. The deal for ticket holders is only up until 10am the day after the game and that's arriving at your destination, not when the train leaves so unless you want to get up early after the game then it also might be worthwhile booking in December.
  20. I don't think you need 4G. If it's like last time you need your bluetooth on for the downloaded ticket in the app, a steward outside the stadium activates the ticket in the app with some scanner and then you can use it to scan through the turnstiles. Was fairly straight forward last time but that was with limited crowds, don't fancy the wait for both queues when it's full stadiums.
  21. They don't get downloaded into your wallet, they stay within the UEFA app unless it's changed since last time. You'd need to have some amount of trust in someone to give them access if you're giving up your tickets first.
  22. I wouldn't be massively surprised if they worked as soon as they arrive and they don't want to admit it so are sending them out as close as possible to 12.
  23. It just came off as £97 (for 110 euro) pending on my bank statement and my bank is one of the ones that usually shafts you for using your card abroad.
