  1. Looked into it briefly this morning but couldn't see much in the way of reasonable flights so giving this one a miss.
  2. The Times is reporting the June friendlies will be Gibraltar in Faro on the 3rd June and Finland at Hampden on the 7th June.
  3. Including the ones who slapped them and took their drum.
  4. Kids spending the week leading up to the game saying how they're going to smash the Thistle kids then get a slap and their drum taken off them. If anything they've learned a valuable lesson here.
  5. This plus with Flix running only a couple of services a day on most lines (and only one on others) if you really need to be somewhere by a certain time like a game at the Euros then I'd avoid Flix like the plague. It's fine if everything goes right, you're properly fucked if it doesn't. At least with Deutsche Bahn not being the most reliable there's enough trains that if one is cancelled you aren't stranded for the day.
  6. McCall has claimed over and over to love 2 clubs in his time in management - Ayr and Thistle. He left one of those clubs for the other and he'd have left us years back if Dundee offered him the job at the time. Any suggestion he'd have any loyalty to Clyde is laughable.
  7. Sunday will be no use as it's when we play in Stuttgart but that weekend the European Open in the darts is on in Leverkusen which isn't far for anyone interested. Slightly different day out to the recommendation above admittedly. https://www.pdc-europe.tv/tournaments/european-darts-open-2024-leverkusen/
  8. You're the luckiest person on the forum if this is your first dealing with Craig Napier.
  9. To add to what has already been said about the potential venues if we finish 3rd we are more likely to end up at some of the venues mentioned over others. Based on that there's 10 possible outcomes for the 3rd placed team in group A. 5 out of 10 have 3rd place in our group playing v the winner of group F (Portugal, Turkey, Czech Republic and Playoff winner C) in Frankfurt on 1st July 3 out of 10 have 3rd place in our group playing the winner of group B (Spain, Croatia, Italy and Albania) in Cologne on 30th June 2 out of 10 have 3rd place in our group playing the winner of group E (Belgium, Romania, Slovakia, Playoff winner B) in Munich on 2nd July
  10. If Ashcroft signed we could go with a back 5 of McMIllan - Neilson - Ashcroft - O'Reilly - Milne and just win games with goals from corners. Get someone with a decent long throw and go full Tony Pulis.
  11. O'Reilly's more of a left sided CB or have I made that up? Him there and Neilson moving over would be an upgrade. Replaces Holt's presence at set pieces too.
  12. I'd say so. If you look at recent England squads centre back is probably the obvious position for a young player breaking through to fancy their chances of getting a game for them in the next few years, especially if Southgate leaves and takes his need to play Harry Maguire at all costs with him.
  13. That high line if it becomes a permanent feature for Arbroath and wasn't something McIntyre saw in Thistle he thought he could counter with it will be entertaining at least. There's not exactly the pace in the backline or Gaston if it gets beaten.
  14. Signing announcement imminent. The social media team don't get public holidays off based on Graham on Christmas Day and now this.
  15. Normal away section is 416-417 but apparently the Dutch have blocked off sections 414-417 (and 413 as segregation) now tickets are on sale to home fans so looks like there'll be enough away end tickets for anyone looking to go. Guess our section will be category 4 so 35 euro. Ticket link is anyone wants to go in the home end - https://ticketing.knvb.nl/nl-NL/events/nederland (m) - schotland (m)/2024-3-22_20.45/johan cruijff arena, amsterdam?hallmap&fbclid=IwAR3zbHrpMSArMACEu3VtQwB0yc96FGSwjHsppq4e-D1vCRqowfK0sxYbB1Y
  16. Goal of the year nominees now up on the SFA website. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scotland/scotland-mens-goal-of-the-year-2023/
  17. That Safe Standing English guy on twitter who seems to be helping out half of the UK with booking their trips asked DB about some of the cross border trains not being reservable yet. Further down the thread DB say it's normally around 3 months in advance. I had a similar issue with a train from Berlin to Warsaw earlier in the year on the way to Tbilisi and it turned out they had stopped taking bookings on any train to Poland that weekend as there might be engineering works and rather than tell you that you just got that seat resevation error. Once they confirmed the engineering works weren't happening I was fine to book but that was only maybe around 2 months before I travelled.
  18. Fixtures updated up until the start of March for the top 2 tiers. https://www.dfl.de/de/aktuelles/dfl-setzt-spiele-der-bundesliga-und-2-bundesliga-bis-mitte-maerz-2024-zeitgenau-an/
  19. https://www.vagonweb.cz/razeni/vlak.php?zeme=DB&kategorie=ICE&cislo=529&nazev=&rok=2024 The 2024 timetable is just out and the site is just a labour of love for some train geeks so they might not have caught if the carriage numbers have changed on some trains. Even if the times don't match up this train in the link is near enough certain to be the same as the one you're on so the layout of 24 on this will more than likely be the same as the one you're on.
  20. He was 'head of high performance' when he was wheeled out to tell us how staying on UK time in Kazakhstan will benefit the team before we got horsed 3-0.
  21. DB sell from 180 days in advance so only up to the 15th June just now. Eurostar have their own sale dates so not sure about when they go on sale.
  22. There's no specific unreserved carriage, on busier trains you just need to find a seat which does not have it displayed above it as being reserved or risk being asked to move. With the expectation being some of the trains to and from host cities will be mobbed you could in theory end up standing all the way if all seats end up reserved. On some trains you may also see 'GGF reserviert' above some seats which means they are reserved for people who have missed connections due to delays so you're fine to sit there but might get moved if someone who has missed their connection and had reserved a seat on a previous train turns up. My experience is some Germans are quite happy to sit in a reserved seat and then seem annoyed if punted out the seat they haven't paid to reserve so I wouldn't worry about it.
