  1. I noticed that when Moult came on against County KVV dropped in to the #10 spot which feels like the logical place for him to fit given the 4231 seems to be what we're going with. Tbh, it's stating the obvious but it all hinges on Moult's fitness - I think everyone accepted when he signed that he hadn't played 90 mins in ages and was an obvious injury risk. Like, we've already seen Aarons break down after a couple of sub appearances so building Moult's fitness and confidence up by giving him a run of games where he's getting 20-30 mins off the bench seems wise. I mean, I'm all for getting them both on the park. It seems like it could be a good laugh.
  2. The Joey Efford redemption arc continues apace lads. Massively this. I mean, of that starting XI only Penney is a Hammell signing and we're running with a smaller squad but the turnaround in style and general approach is clear (albeit we're 1 point down on Alexander after 10 games last season). We've changed both shape and style but the fact that we're not materially worse off than the same stage last season despite binning our manager 2 days before the opening game of the season is a credit to Hammell. We're a definite work-in-progress though.
  3. I've been waiting on this airing over here for ages as pretty much all the TV & Culture podcasts I listen to were saying how great it was. I'm only 2 episodes in and tbh, it doesn't disappoint. It's great but at the same time one of the most stressful watches I've had in a while.
  4. You've misread. He was in Court 13 today (the court roll is here), which is why it'd have been reported now.
  5. It was, aye. If the 'incident' occurred on the 7th November he had been benched on the 6th against Aberdeen but started the next game on the 20th against Hearts. He dropped out the starting XI Feb/March. That's not to say his being 'rested' wasn't to do with his personal situation rather than any sort of fall out like - and it's none of my business either way.
  6. One touch passing...fucking backheels! Bar Penney this is the same group of players Alexander had for Sligo.
  7. I mean, it seems harsh. He's definitely quite a frustrating player...mercurial even, but having just checked not only is that him into double figures for this season - 10 goals in 12 games, he's also scored 21 goals in 51 games for us which is...quite good? Incidentally last night was Hammell's 10th game in charge, 5 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses with 5 clean sheets.
  8. Kev's 3rd was 100% the sort of finish the Budget Bergkamp video promised but he's not really delivered on as yet. More of this please.
  9. I see Max Johnston got another 90 mins. How's he been getting on for you?
  10. I was genuinely quite surprised to learn that Kettlewell's younger than Hammell but aye, it's an interesting pivot given the coaches we've had in various iterations of the role recently have been Johansson, Craigan, Ross and Kerr (albeit the Reserves league was mothballed when he was in position). Bringing in a guy who won the u20s league with County and managed at Premiership level with their first team is definitely a change in terms of experience. Also seems notable that, like N.Alexander, he's someone who has no prior connection with the club (AFAIK) - between Lasley, Clarkson, Craigan, McManus, Hammell, Kerr, McFadden and even Mo Ross it's not like we've been shy in getting former players in for coaching roles in the past. Curious to see who gets the Academy director job now as, like I say, Kettlewell isn't a name I'd have even thought of for the LDC.
  11. I noticed KVV talking about Moult in the press:
  12. That's Kettlewell taken over as our Lead Development Coach. Seems like a good fit based on the work he did in a similar role with your 20s? Fair?
  13. Kettlewell takes over from Kerr with #YoungMotherwell. His County u20s won the league and won the Championship when he was their actual first team manager. On the face of it that seems like a...good appointment?
  14. Noticed that @PauloPerth had made a similar post in the St Johnstone thread re: their start. FWIW: here's how our current start compares with the previous 10. 15. Artists I've went off is definitely easier than the other way around. I honestly can't think of anyone that I didn't like to begin with that I've come around to. When I was young and stupid I was into metal - VHS tapes of Raw Power taped off the TV, Kerrang posters on the wall. I was an absolute fucking dweeb. Anyway, suffice to say the older I got (like mid-teens) the Megadeth, Anthrax, Metallica and Pantera albums were binned along with many others and I've never gone back to them.
