Going by the wiki standings this would be accurate as to what's being worked with.

    * B10 Port Glasgow

    1 A11 Bellshill Athletic
    2 A12 Girvan
    3 A13 Lesmahagow Juniors
    4 A14 Lugar Boswell Thistle
    5 A15 Irvine Victoria
    6 A16 Saltcoats Victoria
    7 B11 Carluke Rovers
    8 B12 Kello Rovers
    9 B13 Dalry Thistle
    10 B14 Newmains United
    11 B15 Royal Albert
    12 C10 Larkhall Thistle
    13 C11 East Kilbride Thistle
    14 C12 Vale of Clyde
    15 C13 Ardrossan Winton Rovers
    16 C14 Vale of Leven
    17 C15 Lanark United

    18 Div 4.1 Finnart
    19 Div 4.2 Kilsyth Athletic
    20 Div 4.3 Harmony Row
    21 Div 4.4 St. Peter's
    22 Div 4.5 Glenvale
    23 Div 4.6 Campbeltown Pupils
    24 Div 4.7 BSC Glasgow
    25 Div 4.8 Harthill Royal

    26 NEW Blantyre Soccer Academy
    27 NEW Easterhouse
    28 NEW Eglinton
    29 NEW Rossvale Academy
    30 NEW Thorn Athletic
    31 NEW Threave Rovers
    32 NEW West Park United

More useful, I think, to list the conference teams in order of points-per-game rather than by conference.

With so many Glasgow area teams it might stop some of the more extreme examples but would split quite close teams.

The sensible solution might be to create non-geographical conferences but, as the new applicants don't fit into the ABBA system, put Threave into the other conference once Campbeltown have been placed.

The WoS New Clubs thread has a post listing just Threave from the SoS applying to join the WoS. It also has a post stating that the WoS might choose to go to a max 80 clubs. Should they be correct then it puts the WoS in the position of taking in a club from another Tier 6 League in preference to a club from within the area currently covered by the WoS. Any space taken by Threave would prevent a "local" club from access to the WoS.

Threave in the WoS sends out all of the wrong signals to the pyramid as a whole. Unless Tier 6 is altered by agreement via the PWG. Why should the SoS agree to anything of the sort?

Not saying either SoS or WoS is right or wrong here. Just stating the facts as I see them at present and FWIW.

Threave's application to the WoSFL is confirmed.

As they are more than likely to be accepted, do they realise they'll be either in an expanded two-conference Div3 at Tier 9 or Div4 at Tier 10? (Rather than alongside old rivals Bonnyton at Tier7!)

When the penny drops, might their application be withdrawn?

All into the Third Division with the current 17/18 clubs (format TBC - conferences or north/south split?) or a 15 team Fourth Division?

The teams that will be involved will be consulted about their preference for hierarchical Divs 3 & 4 or 2 parallel Div3 "conferences" selected primarily by ABBA.

I suspect that a geographical split might also be considered, otherwise Threave v Campbeltown is a possibility!

I've heard the following clubs have applied for next season:

    Blantyre Soccer Academy
    Easterhouse
    Eglinton
    Rossvale Academy
    Thorn Athletic
    Threave Rovers
    West Park United

Also a couple of other interesting things.

    Possible rule changes.....
Clubs promoted to the Premier have five years in which to get Licenced, if not they are relegated.
League membership to be capped at 80 clubs.

Last year is was about 22nd May when the names of new clubs began to leak out. Any clues about when news may be hoped for this time? An official statement would be helpful in due course?

The list in the post by @theesel1994 2 weeks ago (see above) has been confirmed as correct

When are the teams who have applied likely to find out if they'll get in?

Seems it's likely they'll all be accepted (subject to ratification at the AGM, presumably).

If Doorbell win the playoffs and go up to the LL that'll give the WoSFL their target complement of 80 clubs. Just needs to be decided then what to do about Divisions 3 & 4 next season ...

Darvel do the thing & win their biggest honour to date by far while Pollok secure the illustrious best team outside Ayrshire trophyemoji769.png. Rob Roy continue their wonderful recent form. Cumbernauld bid adieu.

    I like that, I really do!😂

After topping the table for so long this season, something a bit more prestigious next time round hopefully, though! 😉

I stole below from another forum but I thought it was well worded and explains what's

happening with structure next year as I for one was getting confused by what the feck is going on with it all

The champions of the WoSFL, EoSFL & SoSFL (if licensed, which they all will be) play a mini-league & the winner is promoted to the LL.
The only team due to be relegated from the LL is Vale of Leithen, who will go to the EoSFL.

If the WoSFL champions are promoted, 6 teams will be relegated from the WoSFL Premier division to the new Div 1 and the 3 conference champions (Arthurlie, Cambuslang & Petershill) promoted, so that next season's Premier Division will be reduced to 16 clubs.

If the WoSFL champions do not win the promotion mini-league, 7 clubs will need to be relegated from the Premier Division to reduce it to 16 for next season.

Below that, the relegated clubs and the remaining teams in the Conferences will be split into Divisions 1 (16 clubs), 2 (16 clubs) and 3 (the rest) based on the final league positions in the Conferences.

What will happen to the 8 clubs currently in WoSFL Division 4 has not yet been decided.

It's nice to be quoted but it'd have been even nicer to have been credited!!!

Especially as I'm a regular poster on here as well as a moderator on the Pollok "another" Fans' Forum.

You are correct that no timeline was set. Various issues with the SJFA had to be overcome first. Specifically, the SJFA wanted to run a tier 5 league and that was opposed by the Highlands and Lowlands.

    SJFA = Tom "Vladimir" Johnstone

opposed by = Highlands, Lowlands and most of the clubs then members of SJFA

Is there a deadline for the current Div 4 teams to submit their application to the "real" leagues?

As far as I know, it was about 12 months ago!

By applying for Div4 and being accepted, they have 2 seasons to upgrade facilities etc where necessary, at a suitable ground.

If they fulfill the criteria they can be accepted as full WoSFL members for next season or the one after.

I don't imagine any further "application" will be necessary. No doubt there is ongoing communication between the 8 clubs and WoSFL management regarding progress and votes on acceptance or not of those who are ready should take place at the AGM.

If I've got any of that wrong, I'm sure someone will step in and correct me.

West tie against Kello and Clydebank will be after the 7th May so could possibly request to have that midweek.

The Licensing Committee Meeting is on 11th May. Under the licensing clauses, Pollok will have to have played a match under the lights to the satisfaction of a referee, unless they are given some derogation in that respect.

So if we beat Kello and refuse to play the next round midweek then 'Lok may not be awarded their licence ?? ... Rats !!!

The lights can be validated for licensing purposes without the need to play a match with them in use.

Floodlight pylons are up at Pollok, midweek game scheduled home to Clydebank on the 20th April - have to assume that'll be the first floodlit game.

It’s a 6:30 kickoff, probably no need for lights.

The floodlights are not expected to be operational in time for the Lok v Bankies game, so k.o. time is confirmed as 6.30pm

I took 6:30 off WoSFL calendar, just checked their  website when I saw this, it says 6:45!

The Pollok club page on the WoSFL website currently gives the Lok v Bankies k.o. time as 6.30pm, as it has for several weeks.

    Pollok's own website says it's 7.00pm.

Looks as if the left hand, right hand and both feet aren't talking to each other!

When are the lowland league calling their special general meeting to keep Vale in the league?
Joking aside the charlatans could probably actually do that.
One thing for sure they would vote in favour.

It's a long shot but, if Cowdenbeath win their last 3 games and Elgin lose theirs, with a 9 goal plus swing in GD, Elgin would finish bottom of Div2. If Elgin then lose the playoffs to Bonnyrigg, that would leave the LL a team down and they could reprieve VoL! (or dump VoL & let the Jammies buy their way in!)

Of course, one more point for Elgin or a draw/defeat for Cowdenbeath and that scenario is dead, fortunately.
