  1. I think Stuart's level of performance since he came back from retirement has been superb, imo better than when he first signed. So consistent as you say.

For sheer consistency of performance Stuart big game Hunter. So many important blocks, tackles and clearances. Best defensive header of a ball in the league. Strong, physical, experienced and strong in the tackle. A danger to opponents at freekicks and corners. Possessing a dangerously long throw and always willing to give helpful advice to the officials. A proper footballer who brings out the best in those around him.
  2. I remember this game, probably the furthest back I can remember for a Junior Cup away day! Bound to have been at other cup games before this but can't recall.

    Nov 30th

1991 and the first Junior Cup meeting with Kelty Hearts over in Fife.  An enthralling match ended with the BU's coming out on top by 4-3.  The goals were shared around by George Allison, Kenny Neil, Mark Harrison & Jimmy Burns.

The team was: Kirkwood, Davidson, Cheape, Purdie, McLean, Fisher, Neil, Allison (Ewing), Harrison (Verhees), Burns, McLennan

  3. Missed that game sadly although I can console myself with making the away game lol. Scoring nine goals in two games against a League side is mad!

    Nov 8th

2014 and after that amazing 4-4 draw at Borough Briggs, Elgin City arrived in town not quite knowing what to expect.  They got their answer on 3 mins when Darren Gribben scored and despite equalising on 10 mins, that was the last time Elgin were to remain on level terms.  A Will Snowdon header and Darren Gribben put the BU's two up, then Mark Peat saved a penalty.  City pulled one back before the break.  Gribben had one chalked off before Ross Campbell made it four.  Again, Elgin clawed one back.  Nicky Walker scored 15 mins from time but Elgin went for it, putting Marvin Andrews up front.  He got his reward 3 mins from time and the BU faithful had to endure 5 mins of added time but they made it .  5-4!

The team was: Peat, Snowdon, Campbell, Murphy, Leiper, A Scott (Donnelly), Walker, Philp, Anderson (Cowan), Pittman, Gribben (Gibb)

  4. Sept 12th

2009  saw Camelon as the visitors on League business, complete with new coach Steve Kerrigan.  The Bu's notched their 6th successive win by 4-0, two scored in each half.  Derek Fleming scored a belter from the edge of the box before Roger Duffin headed a second.  Darren Gribben netted with a penalty and the scoring was completed by Chris McFadyen.

The team was: Longmuir, Snowdon, Fleming, Main, Duffin, D Morrison, G Brown, Shirra (Hay), McFadyen, Gribben (Shields), Donnelly (Fullerton)
