  1. At last a post with a modicum of proportionality.
  2. Anyone seen the club website today - would be accurate to assume the exciting news is a new site????
  3. Wondering if anyone knows what the SC rules are on ticket entitlement as in England (& Wales) the away side can take up to 15% of capacity? Recall the last cup win there in LC with Ritchie getting two goals and if my memory serves me right we had all the lower tier of Copeland Road that night Another repeat of same with 3000 Bairns in ecstasy and Sibbs replaced Stevie Fulton with through ball to the Jak instead of Richie for the winning goal COYB
  4. Is there any mileage in the rumour about O'Dea from Dee as Player coach
  5. This goalie wonder who did the risk assessment............???
  6. Thanks for an honest report of what happened that day..............sad but again it was a small minority and I for one would never tarnish the good name of St Mirren because of the behaviour of a few uneducated individuals
  7. Totally inaccurate Holly as I had the dubious privilege of sitting in the main stand at Love Street due to being hosted as part of local hospitality. I was personally enraged by the monkey noises which actually came from the standing area in front of main stand and actually let my host a Saints Season Ticket Holder know my feelings about the outrageous racial abuse Ritchie suffered that afternoon. Don't let selective memory and hearsay get in the way of the truth Holly
  8. He could be a Maccam not a Geordie given he's from Sunderland Thought about a few successes from the North East area - Paul Rutherford & Scott Sloan come to mind - if he proves to as effective as them I for one will be satisfied & note I didn't mention Carl Finnegan in that group of positive impact players ..........!!!!!
  9. Would be a good move as the boy is strong , quick & a natural right back - 3 qualities we currently don't have in that position
  10. Agree BPM but Josh Sheenan could be affordable & led to believe he is a class act at centre mid & exactly the kind of playmaker we need just now If we get Dan James to fly along the wing beside him we might well be able to salvage our pride & stay up without need of playoffs if
  11. Won't be Jay as very much part of first team squad but would not be surprised if it is Josh Sheenan
  12. Like to think their reserves are of better quality than our current squad
  13. Personally don't see what the issue is with jettisoning Austin - i always felt like Hippolyte that he was a confidence player who in our situation is a luxury we can ill afford lets be frank how many times did he score when one on one with opposition keeper ? my impression is that he does not fit in with style & approach that Hartley is trying to transition the team to
  14. Let me offer another view on this which I admit has a degree of personal agenda in writing but...........my grandson has played Kids footie since the age of 3 and is now 10 and as a result I have spent the last 7 years watching a lot of what has been going on locally. To sum up a biased perspective on the Forth Valley Academy I have the distinct impression that it has bred an elitist culture based on cherry picking from the various boys clubs in the area but with particular focus on a couple of "special" feeder clubs. I have noticed first hand some inflated egos amongst the boys themselves & sadly some posturing amongst parents. In truth I have always questioned the validity of taking 10 and 11 year olds out of the normal set up to create the super team status given that they are the best part of at least 6 years away from the potential of a professional career in football. To that end whilst it might be unfortunate if the chronology of communication has gone awry I salute Margaret and Craig for both their courage and foresight in taking a stand here for the betterment of FFC .
  15. Joe Rodon, centre back and Dan James, striker are the two we should be after with maybe Adam King midfielder (ex Hearts) would do for starters
  16. I echo that fact and also that he's not downed tools despite being played out of position. Assuming people are fit how about the following team line up for Morton GK Thomson Back Three of Muirhead Ballatoni Grant Middle Four of McGhee Taiwo Sibbald Dunne In the Hole Loy Front two Austin Hippo
  17. Suppose he did play for Killie at end of his career though not sure Hartley would fancy being back up to super Ally at Rugby Park!!!!!!
  18. Listened to Houston's post match excuses in line then took in Paul Clement's interview after the Swansea match yesterday & it's night & day in terms of ownership of the issues - phrases like collective responsibility etc oh for some honest humility on the part of our Head coach by the way whats the difference between headless chickens at the slaughterhouse & Falkirk players at the stadium? The chickens still have a heart to keep going!!!
  19. Please will the dream team if Levein & Houston be reunited - we will even forego any compensation
  20. The following is an extract from a Swans fans site so can't verify if the figs being quoted are accurate but it dies back up the assertion earlier from Back Post Misses: Expected better things of him after such a promising start to his Premier League career when we won 2-1 at Arsenal - a game in which I thought he was excellent. Sadly I don't think he ever fulfilled his true potential with us. Mind you, given that we only spent £350,000 (with a £500k add-on clause if sold-on for Falkirk I believe) for him, so if the figures quoted are to be believed then the club has made a profit
  21. I'm hearing that they are separate deals around £3.2 million - wonder if we have a sell on clause
