  1. Ok watched all of these back to give you a better answer Helander - good strong header back across the goalie, hardly flapped at it Cantwell - should have done better here and tried to put the shot at least behind or out of danger. Sakala - good finish actually takes it well and early. Genuinely surprised by these examples. I can think of an equal number of mistakes from Butland last season alone that were worse than most of these. Idahs goal in the 3-3 game, straight through him at the near post. O’Riley in the 2-1 game, again done at his near post from outside the box as well (if you think the Sakala one is a keeper mistake then this has to be too right?) In the same game a Maeda shot that goes straight through him which ended up offside and last but not least the Scottish Cup final which tops them all considering the significance of the game. The point I’m making is the mistakes Hart makes are no more frequent or worse in these games than some of the mistakes made by a keeper apparently heads and shoulders above him.
  2. Bar the Sima one which is a non-story since it was a foul I genuinely can’t recall any of them without making an effort to watch them back so the mistakes can’t have been that significant, not sure what more you want from me than that tbf
  3. Lashing It’s gotten a bit sensitive around here
  4. Mate no offence but I’m not going to pick through 16 games worth of highlights to find you a rebuttal. It’s much simpler to look at the fact he has an impressive win ratio and since mistakes in these games from keepers are very costly there can’t have been that many. But ultimately I was happy with Joes contribution and performances and as the paying fan it’s pretty much all that matters to me.
  5. It’s almost stating the obvious that if a keeper makes a mistake or 2 in these games you are likely failing to win. But he won 10 of them from 16. Has he made mistakes ofc he has however the positive contribution clearly outweighs the bad
  6. I wonder how many tickets we will get for the derby if still there by then?
  7. You went right through the highlights eh? Must have been quite painful considering I imagine you lost most of those games, I admire the commitment.
  8. Reading Bernardo fee agreed - apparently £3.5 mil + add ons and just personal terms to be done. Would be a good signing to make permanent especially as it's almost inevitable we lose MOR unless signing his Danish friend can convince him to stay .
  9. My game When you aren't lying or making things up just about every other post, as far as Celtic is concerned, is hyperbole to the nth degree so if I have a game it's poking fun at that. If you are overly sensitive to what I replied to you or found it insulting, then you should address your own behaviour first or find a different thread to post in where you won't have to deal with me and my "game"
  10. I think you need a bit of that in a team. He brought some leadership quality, a good mentality and some shithousery to go with it.
  11. I’m not looking to be excused and backpedaling doesn’t excuse yours The only one I can remember in our games is some bad positioning for a free kick but in recent seasons McGregor and Butland have also made huge mistakes that cost goals and games in that fixture. Butland cost you the Scottish Cup and a potential cup double, that’s a pretty significant howler and apparently you want to make him captain. Must be a thing as your current one is goal head start in every game I don’t disagree that when he joined Celtic he was past his best, goes without saying but his contribution was valuable and he done his job and left very successful and in high regard
  12. People can say he was rather poor however Hart had some massive saves in the last half of last season that contributed significantly to us clawing back the deficit and winning the league. All you need to do is look at how the fans regard him, the fans that see him week in and week out. Players who have been really poor don’t get that kind of send off from us. He had some weaknesses which were evident but those were always there throughout his career however I agree Schmeichel if we get him is an upgrade based on current ability however it is a rather safe and somewhat lazy signing
  13. Tad ironic considering you were insulting someone’s ability as a professional.
  14. Well you couldn’t otherwise you would be doing just that instead spending time being a gobshite on here. Hence why he played in Scotland at the end of his career? Schmeichel is at the end of his career too and you just said he’s ten times better than Hart Eejit
  15. He’s won the Premier League and has over 70 caps for England. He’s clearly not pish or ten times lesser a keeper than Kasper ffs. Many a keeper would kill to have a CV like Joe Harts so just calm down and behave yourself. On Schmeichel, good keeper and I think he will do well for us if we can get him in. Pulled off some great saves in the Euros, his age doesn’t worry however I would like to bring in a younger backup too
  16. I don’t think either the Steau team of 86 or Benfica in the 60’s done their own domestic doubles when they won the European Cup Again this isn’t a claim that what Celtic done eclipses any other teams achievements just that it appears to be a unique one. The greatest win? Well that’s some debate that. Forest, Villa, Dortmund maybe even Jose’s Porto but it’s a debate for another thread
  17. He’s entitled to his opinion Benny which is the point I was making Hopefully the time you spent googling that doesn’t feel wasted.
  18. It was actually Sir Alex Ferguson that said the Lisbon Lions winning the European Cup is the single greatest feat in football and who are any of us to argue with that man? However for clarity, what I actually posted was the feat was unrivalled in that as far as I know no other club has completed a domestic treble and won the European Cup with 11 players from the same country. Feel free to find me another example and I’ll stand corrected so please if you are going to come for me Kennie at least ensure your opening gambit is a direct quote and not something you think I posted. Also the arrogance of you Who decided that you are the curator of what is the greatest feat in club football? A topic that is clearly a subjective one (unlike the one of the worlds most successful club which is a simple totting up process of which Ah Ahly win, but subjectively it’s Real Madrid for me on the basis of European Cups hold much greater gravitas) Why should all opinion on the matter be false unless it concurs with yours? f**k off you absolute fanny
  19. He’s spot on though, it’s complete nonsense. The club, its players, its staff and more so its fanbase have a massive inferiority complex hence this need to create fake accolades, refer to titles in numbers so they can feel unique. The pressure on the rangers board, management and players next season will be huge.
  20. No, however I do know he hopes to move on this Summer
  21. Exactly, the level argument is a fallacy. It’s too easy to say the level is higher or lower just because a player performs or doesn’t. There are many other influencing factors, the coach being one of the biggest ones.
  22. There are many other factors that need to be considered other than it being solely about level. Why was Teemu Pukki a failure up here yet a star down there? Why was Todd Cantwell so highly regarded down there but flatters to deceive up here? Some players thrive under pressure, some crumble and vice versa. Some players need to build confidence and some just have it.
  23. You can counter your nonsensical logic by just looking at Mikey Johnston. Struggled to make an impact up here goes to WBA and immediately is winning the POTM in the Championship, scoring goals for fun and looking as if he’s on another level.
