Where do disabled fans sit?
The wheelchair spaces at Tynecastle are in front of the top section but behind the bottom section on those walkways that run the width of the stands

Stop pandering to these cnuts.
They are all costing their clubs money.
Police and stewards have CCTV. They should use it and enforce strict penalties on these yobs. Hit them where it hurts. In the pocket and a swift couple of boots in the balls.Fcukem.
I really hate the fact that our away allocation has been cut at Tynecastle due to the security tarpaulin in the lower section.
These cnuts need sorting out.
The thing is that sorting them out becomes a lot easier if the people around them aren't prepared to tolerate them
Extricating an utter cnut from amongst a group of decent upstanding citizens such as yourself is trivial.Removing him from a group of people that while not utter cnuts themselves are still f***ing arseholes and think the cnut in question is "a good laugh" is trickier

Personally speaking
I quite like the idea of being able to buy one item of a meal deal at the right price without being penalised for not buying the other twoWhether making Snickers cheaper is the intended consequence I'm not so sure

As far as cutting the allocation because of things like missile throwing and pyro I'd suggest incrementally closing of the first row, and then if it persists closing off the second row etc. and then restoring them after each game that passes relatively incident free
Firstly it means that idiots have got further to throw things and secondly it means that if you are throwing things the people next to you will think you're an arsehole and be more likely to do something about it.
Cutting entire sections from the away allocation seems drastic and cutting the entire away allocation like at the old firm games is ludicrous, unless there's a full blown riot, but dropping it by a hundred or so at a time would be more proportionate
Of course Celtic would probably end up with the whole lower section closed off after a few years but even they might learn eventually

Amidst all the excitement I missed that Hibernians failure to win at Tynecastle along with Rangers Comeback against Killie and Celtic's win over Dundee mean that Hibs maximum is now 64 and Dundee can only hit 65. St Mirren can get 69 so can't catch Rangers on 70 , Killie can get 70 but if Rangers lose both old firm games that won't be enough to catch Celtic
This is now a three horse race
Although the Champions League 2025 dreams are still alive for Killie and the Buddies
I'll leave @VincentGuerinto provide appropriate photos

I've not seen loads of Boyle recently, just highlights but last night was really noticeable as to how much he's slowed. He was outpaced by Devlin at one point which just wouldn't have happened before. Interesting to see how he adapts given how much of his game has been based on pace.
At the start of the game the Hibs forwards displayed an immense workrate with their pressing and it was obvious that they were going to slow down as that tired them out.
The first 15 minutes we looked like we might be in proper trouble, by the last 15 they were trying to eat up the clock to escape with the pointNot a good performance by Hearts but after the shell shock of Ibrox it was hardly surprising that we lacked composure and confidence. Unfortunately it's Celtic next but things get simpler after that
Hibs weren't great either but they didn't look like a team 21 points behind us. if they can produce that level of performance consistently then we'll get another Derby at Easter Road after all. They've got a double header against Ross County next and then Livingston. Surely they can't screw that up0 -
We Hearts fans may be miffed at failing to win the derby but we’re now officially in the top 6 and by that we’re also staying up
Livingston can’t catch Dundee so they’re bottom 6 and Aberdeen can catch one of Rangers or Celtic but not both so the Dons title hopes are now dead

Oh well, a standard hearts/poor hibs/decent = draw type of Edinburgh Derby.
Let's all forget it and head over to laugh at Aberdeen.
And tonight thank god it’s then instead of you

She doesn't look like she goes lots of bike rides, so I'm not entirely sure I believe the rest of the article, especially the "we didn't buy a house we couldn't afford" but a 4 bed house in the south of England must cost a good half million at least.
I also don't think she works 50 hours per week and earns only 22k.
None of this adds up.
I suspect that they bought a home they could afford on the proviso that interest rates remained negligible for the duration of a long mortgage

Children's author criticises use of trans pronouns in legal proceedings in animal cruelty case making the papers is a bit odd but the strangest thing about this strange headline is what it misses out
In the body of the article
QuoteJK Rowling has criticised a transgender cat killer and murderer being referred to as a woman as it emerged judges have been told to refer to defendants by the pronouns they want.

I'm certainly not advocating giving them an extra section. I just think we shouldn't be making it unreasonably difficult for Hearts fans to buy a ticket.
Apologies
By the time I'd got all the numbers together I'd forgotten what the original point was2 -

They probably won't. But they should be dropping the points requirement to 7 or 8. 15 is OTT.
Costs us money, less backing for the team, open goal for the OF morons to criticise.
There are, at time of writing, 578 tickets left on sale for the Celtic game
About 2/3 of which are in the section K next to the Celtic fans
Most of the rest are single seats scattered around the rest of the ground, ideal for people with no matesGiving Celtic an extra section would mean we'd already be denying Hearts fans tickets regardless of their loyalty point status and the extra revenue would be less than £18k

Marching Season seems to be starting early this year and in Stonehaven of all places! That’ll be a good fun day for all the family on March 16th.
Apparently it’s to commemorate the memory of 167 people imprisoned in 1685!
But before that the Emirates Tri Nations series kicks off in Dubai Tomorrow when the hosts play Canada, the joint oldest international cricket team in the world.
Scotland play Canada on Friday which will also be our first step on the road towards qualification for the 2027 World Cup
Wed 28 Feb UAE vs CAN
Fri 1 Mar CAN vs SCO
Sun 3 Mar UAE vs SCO
Tue 5 Mar UAE vs CAN
Thu 7 Mar CAN vs SCO
Sat 9 Mar UAE vs SCO
On the basis of rankings we should be looking for a clean sweep here but playing in a desert against a bunch of pasty faced Scotsmen should mean that our Hosts have a significant home field advantageMeanwhile just up the road our Irish neighbours are also in Dubai facing Afghanistan at the "Tolerance Oval" in an actual Test Match
Participants in this thread with strong Orange or Green sympathies will obviously be rooting for an Irish victory but the romantics amongst us will struggle not to be swept up in the Romance of the Afghan miracle

I've often seen Old Firm fans and thought they should keep their faces covered but that's primarily for been for aesthetic reasons.
Having now seen my idea put into practice I'm no longer so sure

I've not seen the stats on this one, but I actually thought our lineout seemed to work really well against England, I only remember losing one, which Care popped straight up to Cummings to break through.
Usually its been dreadful but for once it seemed to go well, infact i think we also took some on Englands through also
All the stats are here

As someone on the fundraising committee of a county team, the expenses are horrendous at times. Meals after every training session, buses bringing players down from Dublin etc couple of nights a week, The coaches, manager, strength and conditioning coaches , nutritionists plans, gym memberships, kit, medical teams, physios etc. Basically nowadays everything a player needs to train like a professional is provided. The overwhelming majority of our county players live away from the county. It adds up but being a county player is a good lifestyle with a few perks. Managers are creaming it at times but the players get little bar maybe a sponsored car.
In my day job In the civil service, I have a county player from a different county on the team. With flexileave. wfh he can easily play county and dedicate time to it but the other reality is he has failed the last 3 promotion competitions as he doesn't have the workload or experience needed.
Also it should be pointed out that intercounty teams includes hurlers, footballer, Under 20's, Minors, U16, u-14 county development squads ! About 40 lads in the senior football squad and about 32 in the hurling squad.
If the GAA were to devote less money to 'supporting preparation' they would make life harder for counties but also easier because if the opponents aren't provided with everything a player needs to train like a professional then your players could get away with training like amateurs as well
And it's not as if there's a risk of dropping down the international rankings

It's a bit weird for the GAA to plead poverty because they are amateur. They don't pay their players but they still have all the sponsorship, TV and corporate income of a professional sports body. Not to mention a half dozen sold out Croke Parks each year.
Lots of people in Ireland question where that money goes
Particularly in the context of trying to build a stadium for 30,000 paying customers to watch those unpaid athletes compete

Well if you’re going to concede 5 goals then it’s best to get them out of the way first n one game than spread them out

If that's to be the case, then I'd appreciate it if the team could concede several of those goals BEFORE half-time to allow a hasty retreat to the boozer.
Keeping us hanging about in hope of a result only to collapse to a pasting late on is just not cricket.
You clearly didn’t follow Scotland’s qualifying campaign for the cricket World Cup

Government funded stadiums used to be an Italian thing as well which is why Serie A is full of clubs playing in antiquated municipal stadiums that the councils who own them don't want to pay to upgrade

Plenty of players turn down the EPL to stay abroad. Its a league filled with players who simply went for the biggest wage.
Its both where players/managers want to be, but also less attractive in a lot of other ways to other leagues.
Personally i think the Bundesliga seems the most attractive due to the overall atmosphere and size of clubs there, but they lag behind financially across the board. Interesting to read Derek Rae say that fans are happy with that though. Theyd rather have an enjoyable, lower quality, league, than a virtually dead plastic league.
The German top flight is doing well In terms of appealing to fans despite lagging behind equivalent leagues in terms of on field star power.
But that's nothing compared to second division .There are eight clubs in who are pulling bigger crowds than current Bundesliga 1 leader Bayer Leverkuesen
Schalke are pulling in 60,000 + to watch a team that's struggling losing more games than it wins

I think what @willywastecoat forgets to mention, or deliberately overlooks, is that Celtic found themselves in the exact same scenario the season prior (2 home games v top 6 sides pre-split).
It has always been this way, really, due to the way they schedule derby games with it alternating each year. And as you allude to, last season's top 6 means nothing this season if there are other teams now performing better than them that we will need to face away from home post-split.
Also Home Field Advantage isn't always that big a deal and it varies from club to club
At time of writingHearts have 2 more points from 13 away games than 13 home games
Celtic and Hibs have 1 more point from 13 away games than 13 home games
Rangers only have 1 more point from 13 home games than 13 away games
Kilmarnock on the other hand have the 3rd best Home Record in the country but the 8th best form on the road. They average one more point per game at Rugby park at St Johnstone it's 0.63 more points per game at home at St Mirren it's 0.54
It's teams that end up only travelling to Paisley, Kilmarnock or Perth once that should consider themselves lucky

Monday night means it's a no from me. Just not viable.
I know quite a few people who very rarely miss Hearts games who won't be going to this. Shocking state of affairs for a cup quarter final. A really, really poor decision.
I’ll be at rehearsals playing improvisational free form jazz on Monday night, It’s not really supposed to be improvisational or free form it just always ends up that way

Not so much now that the away section has been squeezed horizontally
Even St Johnstone can bring enough people to justify opening the bottom bit of one section
