Hibs got it once for porteous I think too. It’s a very selective process
I was looking to see whether we'd appealed against the VAR Driven upgrade of Cochrane's yellow to a red in last May's home game against Celtic and apparently we didn't partly because we'd just seen Aberdeen punished for a "Frivolous appeal" on behalf of Graeme Shinnie from a game against Ross county

It's at 1:20 in this highlights package

I would hope that some allowance is made for those of us with variable health conditions for whom it's often a last minute decision.
Otherwise I'm going to have to scan my dads ticket, spin the turnstile, and then scan mine before I go in

Not sure you're allowed medals after cheating, docked points & getting relegated.
Au contraire mon ami...
Admittedly you would have been watching Morton lift the League one trophy at the time so it may have slipped your notice but If we hadn't been docked points, put under a signing ban and got relegated then this scene would never have happened.
Meanwhile Rangers and Hibs had to settle for the dubious honour of playing league games in Greenock the following season

Rangers may be considered a slightly different scenario…although I’m now considering just how funny it would be for them to simply assemble a team so bad that it got relegated.
Even more funny than it was for them to assemble a team that failed to get out of the Championship at first time of asking?

Paul McStay was hyped as being off to Juventus or inter in 1992 *
Humiliatingly he ended up staying at Celtic
* Note for younger readers Serie A was pretty much the top league in Europe at the time

She was the first player in history to win a slam as a qualifier, and she did it without dropping a set. That's not under delivering and the hype only came after she won the slam. There have been several female players who won their first slam (Serena being an example) then took another couple of years to win another. Emma will still go on to have a decent career.
She was also out of the game for a while because she needed surgery on both wrists and one ankle
Basically much of last year and most of this year is a write off

The only real measure of how “big” a club you are is how funny everyone else finds it when you get relegated.
Warnock might be about to settle an old argument

Basically it produced huge levels of hilarity across Scotland, far more than Dundee United for example but the collective schadenfreude wasn't on the same scale as with Rangers
Which illustrates my point
In fact us already being on page 9 of a thread about Aberdeen merely being in danger illustrates their "big club" status.
Livingston, on the other hand, are practically doomed already and nobody outside of a few folk in West Lothian is bothered.

Apologies if this is how it works, I've just skimmed the debate, but could they not just give the season ticket holder some money if they give their seat up for a game?
Just rough maths and dont know what season ticket holders pay per game, but someone else pays £26 for a game, club gets £13, season ticket holder gets £13.
Seats already been paid for so club isnt out of pocket depending on the maths, while the season ticket holder gets something back for not being able to attend.
That's basically what happens with the Ticket Exchange
Although it is a bit of a faff to sort out
We're moving to having a digital season tickets on our phones from next season which might mean that the process is more streamlinedI assume it's basically going to be the same as the solution that the SRU use at murrayfield

The arm/hand ball issue should be separate from the VAR debate. The water is muddy on that issue and it is a matter for the refs to deliver consistency on that.
When the handball interpretation first came in it was totally farcical. It's not quite as problematic now that players, officials and supporters have had some time to get used to it.
Of course there's still some very close calls which people are going to argue about but that was always the case
Instead of dull inconclusive arguments about whether that was "ball played man" we now have dull inconclusive arguments about whether that arm was in a "natural position"
VAR has made those arguments more pernickety but it would have made the old arguments more pernickety as well

More Importantly Newly Promoted Canada are on 3 wins from 3 in the UAE having beaten the hosts twice and Scotland once. Scotland beat the UAE in the other game so we're 1 win from 2 but the Canadians are very much the big story so far

Superb. Aye I think I saw him on football focus years ago and thought he was smart. He looks like he fucking hates punditry .
The search for my footballing James Baldwin, WEB Dubois or Langston Hughes continues.

Does it not say more about the viewers as a whole more than anything else if TV feel this is the way to appeal to audiences? I don't have any issue with Richards - I don't listen when he's talking, but that it.
I also don't recognise this as a racism issue. There's a good amateur documentary discussing football pundits and why they're so bad. A good one that came up was Matthew Syed. Born and bred in the UK albeit with Pakistani links. He wasn't a successful mainstream pundit because he was too intelligent for the masses, who only want tits and arse.
That's worth watching although ironically you've oversimplified the Matthew Syed story.
The story that is being highlighted in the video is that he was talking about the wider issue of the dirty money coming into the premiership on Sky TV which is very much off brand for Sky
The mainstream coverage of the Everton/Forest points deduction has seen pundits completely out of their depths.
Saying "That's never a penalty for me!" or "Player X has improved now that the gaffer is playing him as more of a false nine" is easy enough for ex-pros but trying to explain the Everton situation is Financial Times territory and you're not going to get it into a soundbite
And when it comes to the implications of multiclub ownership projects like the city football group having played centre half for Spurs isn't much help

An appalling inclusion in any punditry team. He's really only there for comic relief and to be the voice of the dimmest parts of the audience. An utter moron.
I actually think that his appointment is a good example of inclusion and diversity on a superficial level while actually being structurally racist on a deeper level. He's a caricature of the type of black man that white people are comfortable with. The comic relief. An idiot who doesn't understand much and who intellectually elevates the whiter people around him . It's minstrelsy, essentially.
Now, if you really want to tackle racism at a more fundamental level then find a James Baldwin type character. An intelligent, thoughtful and articulate black man who also offers a sense of self control. I thought Garth Crooks was that sort. There must be others.
On the other hand...
Are you prepared to tell people "You're more than qualified to be our village idiot but I'm afraid we don't hire Black morons here".

I can read yes. I must have missed the part where it was explained why the UK taxpayer is funding the stadium costs of the Irish sports organisation the Gaelic Athletic Association, which is based in Dublin, Republic of Ireland.
Technically the Six nations and the IRB are based in Dublin as well and the ICC is in Dubai.
The Ulster GAA, whose ground this would be, are based in Armagh which is in the UK whether they like the idea or not
The idea that it should be getting some funding from the UK government shouldn't be too controversial
The idea that they can expect a blank cheque and want to spend 10,000 per seat however is just taking the piss, that's more expensive than the new Everton ground
Ideally the Euros will come to Edinburgh and the Ulster GAA will be left with an unspectacular, affordable but adequate Falkirk style three sided ground that provides enough space for Ireland to stage Cricket Test matches as Northern Irish Cricket seems to have been ignored in this funding.

With 9 games left we're now 13 points off 2nd and 13 points ahead of 4th so barring something truly amazing happening 3rd place appears inevitable the only question is when it becomes official
So in order to artificially inject some suspense into proceedings I'm going to pretend that having it wrapped up before the split is importantA draw in the upcoming Killie vs St Mirren fixture would help speed the process up but if we win the next four then it's job done regardless of what happens elsewhere.

Season Ticket holders not bothering, expecting a skelping, as others have said.
12pm ko too is hardly enticing.
Personally there should be a 4 strikes and you're out policy on the ticket exchange
Is that if you sell your ticket 4 times or if you fail to sell it for a game you’re missing

Appreciate that, stops Celtic fans buying.....but there were a lot of empty spaces in the main/Gorgie rd stands as well.
Odd
Against conventional wisdom
Rangers and Celtic games are now our least well attended matches of the season.
this is partly down to loyalty points, partly because it’s priced as category A like the derby and possibly because people don’t expect hearts to be competitive and partly because even if they are they don’t expect the officials to be straight.
and if you’re taking children you don’t want them near that lot

Well that was fun
nothing like a penalty save to settle nerves and make you think that this might just be your day
I saw Brendan Rogers interview and he starts with
“First of all I have to give credit to..,
I thought “maybe he’s mellowed and has some respect for the opposition”
… my players”
i thought “no, he’s still an arse”
