Blown away by the finale.

Its unheard of for me to be this far into a save (fourth season) so early since it was released. I had a fairly average first season with Bilbao so left them and went to Brentford, now we're in the Premier League with the £95m TV revenue. Just a shame that the players that I've picked up are so mediocre. Also got Ian Cathro as assistant manager again.

£27m and double the wage budget to keep Brentford in the Premier League next season. Moving into a new 20,000 seater stadium in a few weeks too. Lots to be excited about.

Liverpool going tonto to escape the Championship. They also offered for my Steven Kingsley and Jack Stephens. They were told to GTF but now I've got my two best players unhappy.

My third-season Brentford title charge is being ruined by Liverpool getting relegated to the Championship. Nevertheless, sitting top after nine games with the only defeat coming to the Reds at Anfield, and a second round EFL Cup exit to Swindon after going 3-0 down after ten minutes. Incidentally, James Maddison was my top scorer in the second season with 25 playing as a shadow striker. I've taken him on loan from Norwich again but hasn't shown anything like the form he had.

That was a great fight compared to the utter snooze fest the heavyweights served up. Shame for Smith but he said himself it took him three or four rounds to get going. Sosa looks a great competitor.

What an absolute frustration of a match.

Spolier tags? Seems that a mid-season dip in form is unavoidable each season. Just can't seem to string wins together now with Brentford.

Good start to the season with Brentford. Arranged a couple of friendlies during the international break at the bottom there.

Bump. Difficult second date. Where to go? Dinner and drinks went well first time out but don't want to be predictable.

14 in mine. Bit the bullet at Bilbao and resigned because I was so disillusioned at how the defence was playing. Now at Brentford. Going to be another interesting project considering how they do recruitment. I've noted they've got more data analysts than scouts. Beat Sunderland 2-1 in the first game of the season though. Still going with the strikerless philosophy, it'll be interesting to see how it works with teams pressing a lot higher in this league. Harlee Dean is the real stand out in defence and Lewis Macleod still looks great in midfield.

Bilbao going very much in peaks and troughs. Can go on a three or four match winning run and then pull a 3-0 defeat off of Celta Vigo from nowhere. Some of the goalkeeping is utterly horrendous and I've conceded some amount of goals where the striker just runs between the two centre midfielders right down the middle of the pitch.

Starting to find the going tough. Late goals, and lots of goals, conceded. Laporte still not available and injuries biting in midfield. This is where the Basque-only player rules sees me struggling. Still though, looking forward to establishing the Basque-pathway as best as I can. All of the facilities are pretty much at their best so its a case of getting the staff right now.

This third runway nonsense. Can guarantee the people opposing it on noise pollution grounds are the wallopers who buy a house without researching where it is. The same kind of people who buy a house next to a fire station then complain about the sirens. Get it built, and build another runway at Gatwick and another at Birmingham whilst they're at it. In the nine years between today and the runway being operational at Heathrow, there'll be nine airports built in China.

Started a career with Bilbao playing a strikerless 4-3-3. Two weeks in and Laporte is out for four months.
