  1. Really fancy taking in a few more games / grounds, probably next season now. Any tips on which grounds to visit (secenery / hospitality / grub!), or fixtures to take in (must see derbies etc.). I gather the season runs March onwards - are the fixtures announced in advance, or do they take it week by week like the pathetic junior football organisers? On another note, how refreshing yesterday to see a huge crowd enjoying a game with a beer in hand, and no segregation or stewarding. Treating the fans as responsible self-policing adults, instead of infantilising them like the football authorities do. Great day, enjoyed thoroughly by all in our party.
  2. That was a game - i'm a convert!
  3. Troll hunter tonight - very tongue in cheek, like cloverfield with wit. And yet strangely gripping with it. Beautiful scenery - norway looks like scotland cubed! Decent. Next up : tinker tailor...
  4. I'm going up. Really looking forward to it. Black isle doing the beer tent, good enoughfor me. Anybody know if hootenanays does lunches? Cheers
  5. Belated thanks for replying! Morton were desperately unlucky that night.
  6. Was that the 7-3? game? I was there - one of the best cup ties i've seen. Seem to remember shearer scored four in extra time. Feels like longer than 96 though.
  7. Just finished reading It's Lovely To Be Here: The touring diaries of a Scottish gent by James Yorkston. A very funny insight into the tedium / excitement of being a touring musician. Also read How I Escaped My Certain Fate by Stewart Lee last week. Effectively the scripts from some of his recent stand-up performances with a very detailed critique as to why he said things in certain ways. The script is interspersed with extremely entertaining footnotes and asides. An excellent book! These elections have put me in the mind to dig out the Chris Mullins diaries which I bought but never started - so will crack on with them after lunch.
