    You know its bad when they are shielding Bullen from the in house press conference. Another point on managing expectations, I had to laugh at the match day email which reads: ^A positive result? Why not say win? Are we not trying to win the game? Or is this some oblique reference to the activities in the bar after our last home fixture against this lot?

    I'm just pleased we have signed someone who has played at this level. Getting fed up of the Falkirk 2018-19 tribute act.

    Is it not more a case of them being able to hurt their opposition but not play against the parent. I don't see the downside for the parent clubs.

    Dowds is fine for this level and about as good as we could get given how late we are in looking for a striker. He goes straight into the team for me. I don't think anyone could seriously suggest starting McKenzie or Bryden ahead of him.

    "Expectations have soared" Really? Challenging for the playoffs is what about 80% of the league are striving to do. I don't think that's a particularly lofty aim tbh.

    Just to emphasise how bad we are at right back. Houston who we rightly released, can't get a look in at Queen of the South in League One. Yet, if he were still here he could well be our starting right back. That's wild.

    I've learnt f**k all from that 35 mins. Some poor excuses in and around recruitment. I still don't know who is responsible for what in the recruitment department. That shouldn't be a hard question to answer, why dodge it? The only thing I take away is that Mathie is tying his wagon to Bullens. It's a bold strategy, wait too long and the ire will be fired at him.

    Lee Bullen: I don't need an assistant. I'm 52 years old. Graeme Mathie: Davie White is the assistant. That's a bit odd, no?
