  1. He better get used to it if he's gonna post on here! (and I don't mean from you personally rw89) Welcome aboard spam12 FWIW I'm still behind McGlynn I'm not one for criticising players/management at the drop of a hat, and tend to give players more of a chance than some others I could mention, but I can see where folk are coming from, certain players we know can play a bit have been piss poor week in week out, but we have to keep playing them as our squad is thin, a new manager would have the same squad to work with as there is no cash to bring in new faces. We are struggling just now, and it shows, players look scared of the ball at times, hence we have no movement off the ball, we are not getting the "rub of the green" on the pitch with every 50:50 or loose ball going against us, when did we last get a penalty? We have picked up injuries to players (which is something we avoided last term) & generally the standard of football has been crap, you can see the confidence drain from the players & the shoulders drop when we lose a goal, but anybody who was at Firhill on Boxing day could see what it meant to the players at the end to get the win, I do believe this shitey run of bad luck and poor displays will turn itself around and we will be mid-table come the seasons end! Last year McGlynn was the best manager in the country, half way through this season we are talking about sacking him............... RRFC, a rollercoaster ride since 1883!
  2. I'd give them 10m on the condition I got 45 mins at Starks Park as a trialist, given some of this seasons performances there I'd fancy my chances of getting a contract ;o)
  3. Yep, happy 17th anniversary to all those who were at Ibrox, all 10,000 of us, lmao, where are the rest of you now???
  4. ^^^ Nail, head, hit! You must have started watching Rovers same time as me Andy, 85-86ish??
  5. ^^^ And playing the back end of the panto horse this year, it's.................. Hi Stevo!
  6. you would miss mate, your failed attempts at nailing a piece of ass are legendary!
  7. Cheers, can you arrange a sponsored "set fire to Sammy & his tank"?? If your serious though the next item on the fundraising agenda is Decembeard, if you fancy growing some whiskers for the wee team?
  8. We made such a big loss due to our squad overperforming last year and the club paying out unexpected win bonuses! Your club went bust whilst not even paying basic wages so f**k off with the moral high ground crap.
  9. That is 1st class, well done. Greeny for that when I'm not on phone.
  10. We could then do a mass sponsored shave off in January, my wife won't sponsor me to a grow a beard as she hates them but I know she'd pay for me to get rid of one, Thinking if doing Movember this year too, so if you see somebody resembling Chewbaca at the Boxing Day match that shall be me!
  11. IMO its not inconceivable that a part time team could win this league in the next couple of years, it's becoming obvious to most clubs that full time football in the first division is unsustainable, as the stupid wages offered in previous years to footballers dries up there are more good players opting to stay part time where they earn good money from their day jobs, the immediate ones that jump to my mind are Campbell, yeah his legs have gone now but was there a better centre half in the league before his accident? McGurn, arguably the best keeper in the league, Mark Ferry (on his early season form last year before he was mysteriously dropped) Rory McAllistair, there must be a few more and there will be a lot more over the coming seasons as clubs cut back. So although going part time would be a sad day I feel it's only a matter of time before one established 1st Div club goes part time and more will follow.
  12. I`d take Baird over any of your strikers & it would not surprise me at all if Bairdy already knows who his next club is, and that is in no way at all a dig at him, the fact he was signing for us was the worst kept secret ever.
  13. Exactly, I believe we turned down £5k for Baird a lot more easily than I believe we turned down the £75k I heard being spoken of, If we`d sold him for £5k I`d have been fuming at the board, but if we turned down the reputed £75k when we are obviously skint then I think I`d be just as annoyed. Edit, I should really add therefor that the board has my backing on this one
  14. I'm in, can you PM me details of where to get a sponsor form please Andy? (Did I punctuate that correctly? Don`t want to annoy the board.)
  15. so what exactly are you saying? its absolutely true that its definately possible! Great get out
  16. Emmmmmm no, you said gritted teeth and bulging veins were the elementary signs of a stroke when in fact they are nothing of the sort, but just you carry on (again) with the McKee is right and the world is wrong attitude, its actually quite funny. as my granny would have said; "they`re all out of step but oor Jock McKee"
  17. Thats exactly the sort of thing I stopped reading certain other forums for
  18. But once again these would not be bulging veins & gritted teeth, more likely a lopsided face, poor motor-neurone skills and slurring speech, which to be honest sounds like most of the clientele of the Norseman
  19. Good to see Rovers won the Reserve league cup at Livi last night, good to see that Reece Donaldson played too after that tackle by Imrie on Saturday, On a more worrying note, Jamie Mole played as trialist at no10 http://www.raithroversfc.com/cgi-bin/latestnews.cgi?id=3845
  20. Yes thats right but myocardial ischemia is a problem with blood supply to the heart, you said a stroke, a stroke is a problem with blood supply to the brain, so caller, whats your point?
  21. Well done on humping one of the brothers Grimm
  22. Fail, stroke symptoms are 100% not bulging veins and gritted teeth, just incase you are ever unfortunate enough to be in the vicinity of somebody having a stroke, these are the signs to look for, it could just save a life The Face-Arm-Speech-Time (FAST) test lists the main symptoms to look out for: Face. Has the person's face fallen on one side? Can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped? Arms. Can the person raise both arms and keep them there? Speech. Is their speech slurred? Time. It's time to call 999 if you see one or more of these signs. Glad to be of help!
