  1. Thoughts of a potential banana skin for QP or Rovers raising their game should be instantly dismissed. Our manager hinted that he may give some fringe players a shot tonight given the heavy schedule so far and with Saturday’s game against Cowdenbeath in mind where relatively speaking we have a better chance of getting something (BB are no mugs of course).
Should be 3 points for QP where fitness itself should be a deciding factor as alluded to above. Our new signs on paper are better than what we have but still too early to have an impact. Stones from Hearts looks a smashing potential for the future- a commanding goalie which we have missed for a few seasons now. Gallagher, McGowan and Sideserf in defence still finding their feet. McKernon and Stevenson both look overweight (I expect some QP jibes about Mark Yardley) . Cox as well still to make an impact.

Only thing I will say the two wins we have so far this season - both came out the blue as stick on defeats.

Oh it's great. Love Brian Moore

There was a game a few weeks ago, Spurs v Forest. Kenny Burns was on a one man mission to mutilate Ricky Villa and Ossie Ardiles. Eventually got booked. In the other two games a couple of  incidents with strikers going in late so the defenders just turned round and punched them square in the jaw. No fucks given. They did get red carded tbf

Aye Kenny Burns kicked everything above the grass 🤣🤣 I love the commentary of Hugh Johns - the voice 🙌

Try tuning in on Tuesday 6 April.

We don’t use Pixellot and I guarantee you a quality HD service. 👍

Cheers Phoenix - no offence it’s just I can’t watch football without fans- it’s just bollocks . I don’t watch MoTD or Sportscene. I get my kicks watching the Big Match Revisited when parks are like quagmires and you had to half kill someone to get a stern talking to from the ref 🤣

What is the tv stream like at Albion

I gave up on all streaming services a good while ago not just Rovers. Someone will be better qualified to give a more upto date review. I found the camera work (pixelott) temperamental although I gather that has improved- the sound is a grinding echo and about 3 secs behind the live play. That’s nothing against the guys who give their time in providing the service in the first place .

  5. Rovers have brought in new players and whatever you think of them to be honest any experience added to the squad has got to be a positive for me . It made sense to sign the three defenders from Pollok in the hope they would slot right in unfortunately the contract for Grant Evans has been cancelled due to his work commitments at the weekend- a pity but totally understandable.

Rovers are hoping that the new signings along with the existing squad and there are some good young players in there will hit the ground running. The fact we haven’t played for months and only had a couple of weeks training I think that is wishful thinking.
Stenny are a good solid outfit who won pretty convincingly at Cliftonhill early season. I’m not sure if I will sign up for the streamed game , I’m ready for launching the laptop out the window when we lise the first goal 🤣🤣

I totally support colt teams playing in League Two.

It is not showing disrespect to the lower leagues to want the Old Firm to have colt teams in League Twp.

Most Scottish League Two sides are happy to play the colt teams of foreign sides in testimonials, friendlies. Most League Two sides are happy to even play the second string sides of Celtic and Rangers in friendlies or in the cup.

IT IS NOT SHOWING A LACK OF RESPECT TO ;LEAGUE TWO SIDES FOR THEM TO PLAY THE RANGERS OF CELTIC COLT SIDES. IT IS A MASSIVE SIGN OF RESPECT.

It is a compliment. It shows the clubs that the bigger clubs respect them enough for them to be the perfect breeding grounds for developing young players.

They do this in Croatia, Germany, Spain, France,. Belgium, Portugal, the Netherlands. Scotland even had a Division C in the olden day where proper sides played b sides.

Croatia develop great players because of this system.

Why is it suddenly showing a lack of respect for colt sides to play League Two sides? It is a compliment. It will increase interest in the lower leagues.

We should do everything we can to ensure young players at all clubs develop while taking into account that most sides want experienced players in their first team. This will be the perfect way to develop young Scottish players.

League Two sides are happy to loan Old Firm young players but suddenly it is the greatest insults in history to play a team of Old Firm youth players. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?

I do not see how a part time team finishing 2 places higher in the League Two is more important an issue than Scotland developing great international players?

I love all Scottish soccer sides, including the part time sides. I want a strong League Two, with strong sides, but the national team is the priority for me. We should do everything we can to create a system which encourages big clubs to develop great players.

Before someone says why don't Celtic and Rangers just stick all their youth players in their first team. Well nobody does that if they want their club to do well. All clubs pack their squads with experienced often non-Scottish players,. It is not realistic to expect any full time team to just send out an entire team of youth players,.

We need a system where all the top sides can continue to have experienced often foreign players in their first team but can still develop young Scottish players.

What gets on my nerves is people who say it is an insult to play b sides yet are happy to have b side players loaned to them.

What gets on my nerves is people who would rather their part time side finishes two places higher in the league than the Scottish team develop great players.

What really gets on my nerves is people who want to chuck out all the part time team from the SPFL, then the next next minute claim it is an insult for those teams to play against B sides,

I love all SPFL sides, I want them all to exist, and perform to their max ability. But the national team is the priority, .

  7. You know what will happen ,the decision will be put off again on the 1March for further review . Then it will be a bun fight over a 18 game season. Stop start seasons is useless to everyone and they should be working towards a start date for a new season with fans back at the games because all I know is football is pure pish without the fans.

I’m guessing a straight postponement would suit Rovers this now. The manager threw the players under the bus after last week’s debacle. How he is still manager is beyond me . Apparently he has two crack centre halves lined up for the transfer window. The rumour mill says from Pollok. Wonder what the odds of them being Bryan Wharton and Gerry McLaughlin. That’ll have you quaking in yer boots lads.

Well there you go I was a mile out as usual. McLaughlin to Brechin on loan. Wharton to Bo’ness. But Rovers have ex-QP Paul Gallacher on loan from Pollok.

Makes it even tougher now then. Think we just have to plod on and hope no more injuries/illness.

Not sure how long until players return as nothing on website to say how long certain players are out for. With Renton though he wont be match fit as wont have played since March etc etc.

Big game Saturday and one in which we should win.

I don’t have the inside info but this Saturday’s game maybe in doubt due to Rovers players isolating after one player tested Covid positive last weekend.
