I kinda' agree with the person who tweeted about him in the first place. He's handled all of the speculation very badly and does come across as a bit of an arse-licker. Disappointing, but not surprising.
It seems like Higgins has been released. Feel really bad for the guy. Terribly unlucky with injuries and to be honest I thought he might have been offered another year.
I can't see any club wanting to take a punt on him, or more specifically wanting to make a credible 6 figure offer for a player out of contract next year.
I agree that the initial signs have been very positive but let's not get ahead of ourselves. He's a good talker, but so was Pressley. Let's wait and see how he sets us up for the remainder of the season and who he brings in during the summer.
Was there any mention at the meeting as to whether players will sold?
Smith was suggesting that Neilson might sign on for next season too. Whether that be a direct replacement for Dods or perhaps for Chris Smith remains to be seen.
The names I heard thrown about at the game today were: Gary Bollan, Craig Levein, Russell Latapy, Darren Dods, David Weir and Allan Johnstone. The only one I absolutely wouldn't want from those would be Dods.
