Not sure if Killie are as bad as their league position suggests but since their general thread on here has ‘gone dark’ it’s hard to know what their fans think.

League form so far suggests a reasonable chance of three points from this which would cement our fourth place spot or better for another week so here’s hoping.

We've been gash in a few games after big efforts in Europe on the Thursday.

Vs St Mirren thought we were much more like ourselves and would definitely have won if they had 2 men sent off, which they should have done.

Saturday isn't "must win" as it's early in the season for that patter, but it would be very nice to get 3 points on the board at last.

Are referees too quick to show a first yellow trying to put a marker down, then back off from giving a second one?

Not for us, nah. Joe Wright and I think also Stu Findlay's two yellow cards in the games they were sent off were their only offences.

That's not to say their second offences weren't completely moronic challenges. But then so was Mandron's.

I'm sitting in a bar in Gran Canaria watching all this and chortling away at this total HG. Delicious.

FWIW I don't think we have seen the last of the red card here. Still could go wrong if we are nit savvy here.

Absolutely drink it in lads, I'd be the same if it was other way round 🤣🤣

Glad to provide some half time laughs. I may be back in 45 to give you some more.

  4. My head is fully f**king gone here.

    Absolutely fuming.

The ref has missed Findlay's penalty claim. He's then booked Mandron and when he commits a blatant second yellow foul seconds later he's shat out of giving the red - Robinson subbing him off tells you everything.

He's then missed Rooney fouling Vassell completely off the ball, fouling Watkins in the box, then kicking Vass on the ground with NO attempt to play the ball at all - a straight red all day long.

The penalty he gives St Mirren is exactly the type Collum says shouldn't be getting given for proximity to the ball.

Then with the benefit of VAR replays, he's just watched Joe Wright brush against Rooney and has somehow produced a red.

Absolutely fizzing and don't think i can watch the rest of this. This should be a "players hauled off by McInnes" job.

  5. Cracking first half.

McTominay consistently our best player for 18 months to 2 years now. Gilmour has also stood out as usual - never hides. This pair are what we build our team round for the next few campaigns.

Gunn did really well with his save against Leao. The one from Jota is great too.

Never gonna be convinced about Ralston at RB and him apologising to Fernandes while Portugal take a quick free kick is pathetic, but he's had a fine night so far.

The block by McKenna from Fernandes' strike is superb.

After moaning about McLean starting, very happy with him and that ball he puts in for the goal - superb.

Frustrating the good chances we waste. The free kick McT wins that we then lump out the park. The passing move that starts from Gunn and switches to McGinn for him to completely overhit it. These are the moments we need to do better with in these games.

  6. I'm firmly in the Clarke camp but he makes it hard to defend him at times. WTF are Ralston, McLean and Hanley still doing in the team? He's so stubborn sometimes it's mind boggling.

He's still the right man for the job, by a million miles over any other likely candidates IMO. But that team has a few guys in it who need moved on, either cos their time has passed or they were never good enough to begin with.

We've just had a year of Scotland at rock bottom. Why do you think this one guy, who's overseen this rock bottom year, is going to overturn it? The Clarke era was nice while it lasted, but it's over. It was over this time last year.

This time last year we were about to win our 5th qualifier in a row. What the f**k are you talking about?

Get Clarke to f**k now. Whoever comes in uses the rest of NL to prepare for WCQ

"Whoever comes in" - who is that?

Not denying we've had a terrible year but I just don't see who comes in and replicates anything close to Clarke's Scotland at their best.

We sack him and it'll be years and years of misery again.

  9. Been OK on the front foot tonight but the two mistakes are from two folk who should be nowhere near the team.

Ralston had been good rest of first half, but we saw at the Euros he is absolutely nowhere near international level because he makes ridiculous mistakes like the one v Germany and the one tonight. We've already learned that so why is Clarke picking him again? Better any other young potential than a known failure
