  5. The Birmingham Mail claim Aston Villa midfielder Aaron Tshibola is being monitored by Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock, as well as a number of the Killies' domestic rivals. Tshibola, 22, is expected to leave Villa Park after failing to make an impression with the Midlands giants, instead being loaned out to Nottingham Forest during the second half of the 2016-17 campaign and MK Dons this time around. His loan spell with MK Dons was cut short after 12 appearances as he failed to have the desired impact, a long way away from the potential and hype surrounding the central midfielder after his £5million switch from Reading to Villa. Roberto Di Matteo decided to splash owner Dr. Tony Xia's cash on the midfielder after former assistant manager Steve Clarke had recommended him following his time at Reading. Now, Clarke is in charge of Kilmarnock. He wants to form a reunion with the midfielder for a second time after working with him at both Championship sides, but faces competition from a number of other Scottish Premiership sides ahead of the January transfer window. A loan move is expected to be secured for the one-time England Under-18 international, with Bruce unwilling to consider him for selection as he remains behind the likes of Conor Hourihane, Mile Jedinak, Glenn Wheland and Henri Lansbury in the midfield pecking order.
  6. Sebastien Bassong is joining us on trial with a view to signing in January. Greer is apparently off come January, as he's not enjoying his commute up & down from Bournemouth.

  15. New Kilmarnock signing Youssuf Mulumbu says he went to manager Steve Clark and asked to sign for the club. The Congo international, who was a free agent after leaving Norwich City in the summer, has joined up with former boss Steve Clarke at Killie, signing a deal until the end of the season with the Rugby Park outfit. Mulumbu says when he saw Clarke, whom he played under at West Bromwich Albion, had taken charge of the Premiership side he was on the phone right away to set up a reunion. The 30-year-old said: "I was in my living room, watching the TV, and I saw Steve Clarke had taken charge. I called my agent and asked if we could talk to him. "When I called him he was surprised, he told me to wait as he had games. Then he told me to come for training and I did for a week. "I'm very happy as the lads have been great with me. Clarke has been impressed by Mulumbu's fitness but says the midfielder needs time to get up to speed having missed pre-season following his release by the Canaries. "It's obviously a good signing for us," he said. "When I found out Youssuf wanted to train I was delighted to offer him the chance." "He's enjoyed it, he wanted to stay until the end of the season and we've found a deal that keeps him here. "His fitness has been good, obviously a few aches and pains as he comes back, but he's almost ready to be in the match-day squad." (STV)

  17. Burnley are monitoring Northern Ireland winger Jordan Jones ahead of the January transfer window. The 23-year-old has been starring for Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League prompting an international call-up from Michael O'Neill who also handed him the No 7 shirt for their World Cup play-off against Switzerland. O'Neill believes Jones has the potential to become an established Premier League player, fulfilling promise he first showed as a trainee with Middlesbrough. The seven shirt, symbolic among Irish fans with George Best, was handed to him as an incentive. Jones is a firm favourite at Kilmarnock utilising his pace and skill to good effect and improving under the tutelage of manager Steve Clarke. He has made 19 appearances this season and scored two goals but his pace and trickery consistently helps set up chances for teammates. That has alerted Premier League Burnley as they scour the market for bargains while Championship side Norwich City have also taken notice. Jones made his first team debut for Middlesbrough as a 19-year-old but admitted was left 'heartbroken' when he was released by the club. It followed on from his part in a street attack which saw a friend of his sent to prison. Jones has since described how he vowed to be 'a different person' as a result and has got his life back in order with football his focus. 'I've learned the hard way, made the worst mistakes you can make. I've made them and I know I won't do it again.' (Daily Mail)
  18. He's got to be one of these losers with 2 accounts surely? Just for self-gratification purposes [emoji108]
  19. Steve Clarke quotes on signing Mulumbu - “I’m delighted to bring Youssouf in. I know him well and he knows how I work so it’s a good move for both parties. “His fitness is improving all the time and I wouldn’t rule out him being involved at some stage against Aberdeen on Sunday. “He has worked really hard since he came to us and the deal isn’t financial. - “He’s getting peanuts — he just wants to play and we can give him that opportunity. I was keen to get him secured now because my worry was that we’d get him fit and he’d get offers from someone better than us in January. “We’ve seven games in December and he’ll be valuable in those. “We’ve a lot of young players in our side and Youssuf will help them. He’s a good character and he’ll benefit the younger guys around him. He understands the game and he uses the ball well.”
  20. Good afternoon Sir, I am a Congolese Prince...... For a small fee..... I may be able to negotiate the return of Hamilton Accies cash from those pesky Nigerians.
  21. I never claimed to have a "flier" as you put it. But I do know there was an enquiry made to Burnley as to his possible availability for a loan move come January, that's as much info as I had. Tbh, if that's the standard of player SC & AD are trying to attract then we will be ok come May time.
