8m - 10m for one player in Scotland is a lot of money. Celtic can defo afford it though.

Can't see next season being competitive though which is a shame. One team being so dominant seems to be the way up here.

Surely now its time for Brendan to get to CL group  stages ??

to get out of CL group stages you mean?

Who was it who had an IRA inspired user name on here and celebrated the offensive behaviour bill being removed?

We're far from perfect and have a shitload of faults but this finger pointing from Celtic fans is ever so slightly hypocritical.

The IRA inspired the name Magee?

Terry Butcher alluded to that on an a clip in that Scotland's Game thing on the BBC couple of years ago, his wife pulled him up for getting right into the plankton brained bigoted poison that exudes from most of the Rangers support and he quickly realised what a cretin he was becoming and distanced himself from it.

I remember reading an interview with him from round that period when, talking of the music scene at the time he stated he refused to listen to U2 as it was Southern Irish rebel music,  and he binned all his Simple Minds records when he found out Jim Kerr was a Celtic fan,  for examples of how signing for Rangers can quickly turn you into a poisonous bigoted wankstain see Novo,  Nacho and Weiss, Vladimir.

Difficult to see how Novo and Weiss became bigots though.

Weiss is just a ned, or whatever the Bratislavan equivalent is and as for Nacho, being Galician, it's a fair bet he's a practicing catholic without any anti-irish sentiments.

Scott Allan is still under contract.  A guy like Calvin Miller could be ready to play Premiership level football as well.

i'd let Miller go to Aberdeen on loan, and let Hayes follow him on a free. Miller would get real game time at Aberdeen and would fit what they need

i'd let Allan go to Hibs or Aberdeen on a free (with 50% next fee stipulation) and let Hibs a loan of Ralston

So £20m for that team. Highlights the gulf between Celtic and the likes of us, but also the gulf between Celtic and the likes of Man City.. Strange position your club is in, you'd have to multiply that by about four to compete fully in Europe

Well we can't just do that... but what we can do is reward our proven players more so that keeping them is a lot easier and develop what we have coming through.

We are good at finding and developing players but not holding on to them.

Staying in Europe after Christmas helps us keep them.

Watched the first 2 episodes last night.

Feared the worst going into it but  was pleasantly surprised.  Really was pretty decent with lots of knowing nods to the original.  "what does this have to do with Karate?" (while doing all the chores)     ..."don't question my methods!" followed up with "do you want me to wash the windows a particular way?" being a couple of moments in particular that made me laugh.

Johnny is a good anti-hero though, plus the blurred lines about who is 'good' and who is 'bad' is a much more interesting narrative...

Johnny is a good guy who had a bad teacher

Daniel was an average hothead with a good teacher

Unless you shovel tons of it into you then no, no lowering of testosterone.

Incidentally, testosterone replacement therapy should be a mainstay of western health in the older gentleman. The UK is miles behind on this

well, currently I'm a daytime vegan - mostly motivated by environmental concerns with an evening meat and veg meal.

What i was doing was using pea and brown rice proteins in the daytime, but to mix it up I have incorporated some (organic) tofu meals over the past 6 months and there has been a gradual softening of the chest and belly since (not tits and love handles, but still a change in the wrong direction). Anyway, hardly a scientific study but in my head, the soy's caused it.

I am considering going full time vegan and can't see how I can do this without a soy reliance. What I want to hear is "there is no issue with soy, get on with it" - but only if that is true.

  7. It seems there is no clear clinical evidence that suggests soy protein lowers testosterone levels or creates any estrogen-like feminizing effects in men. Well, that's what the internet said, but I was looking for the thoughts and observations from P&B's thinkers and scholars on the subject of whether reliance on soy protein is detrimental to maintaining manly hormone levels.

  8. To me they are like a more original cold play.
