  1. Our board will happily allow him to drive us over the cliff before they decide to address the situation. It is just not in their make up to take evasive action, to avoid the catastrophe that everyone else can see coming from a long way out.
  2. Bonnyrigg 1-2 Clyde Forfar 1-3 Stenhousemuir Peterhead 2-0 East Fife Stranraer 1-1 Elgin Spartans 1-0 Dumbarton
  3. The late, great, Willliam Harkness will feel his inept stewardship of the club has a challenger too.
  4. We wore the away kit v Norway, Spain and Georgia in the qualifiers. Albeit with white shorts rather than the blue ones that was the supposed colour of shorts for the away kit. I would imagine we will wear the away kit probably v Switzerland.
  5. To be honest I am not sure. However, I think youwill be able to.. I can’t see why anyone would decline a sale of two hoping to punt them all in a oner.
  6. Yeah, restricting numbers would be an idea. Having to physically upload photo id and address details might help to slow things down too.
  7. Me too. I think every man and their dog is wanting the Swiss game tickets. it seems that more than the opener and the Hungary game. I was quite optimistic until I remembered about the touts. Not sure what they can do to stop them. Maybe something to try and slow them down a bit.
  8. Or some film star as per Wrexham. It does seem unlikely though. Mind you a well crafted email to Ryan Reynolds asking if he “has a mate” that might be interested, could tip the balance. Less money required to get to the Scottish Premiership, than Wrexham to get to the English top flight, so you never know. We could be a bargain for somebody. A cool 50 Million and we would challenging for a place in Europe again. Hahaha.
  9. I don’t think that will work. They haven’t sent any pre-notification emails yet. You would think they will do that a few days in advance. I am off for the next week, albeit in a different time zone. I am hoping it will be soon though, so I have time to spend on it, before I go back to work.
  10. They may be better in the flesh but on first look not great. The two Germany kits look the best of them though.
  11. The away kits from 79 -85 were glorious. Red tops, navy shorts and white socks. If adidas made a similar away kit to either of them for us that would be glorious.
  12. I was in Munich for a stag do last April and most places we went to took cash and cards. Never had any issues in bars and restaurants. The wife and I have a Halifax credit card that we only use for holidays. So I used that. It offers no fee ATM withdrawals or point of sale transactions. I just top loaded it before I went and I don’t think there was much if anything to pay when I came back. I can only remember withdrawing Euros once when we were there 4 nights. I think that was to give somebody a sub. The Post Office do a decent holiday pre-pay Mastercard too, Just load it up with Euros and away you go.
  13. East Fife 3-2 Dumbarton Elgin 1-1 Bonnyrigg Forfar 2-1 Clyde Peterhead 1-0 Stranraer Stenhousemuir 2-2 Spartans
  14. The answer will probably be in here somewhere. Why didn’t they use/ upgrade Windsor Park instead?
  15. While we are getting shot of the board, hopefully Bartley will decide to go too. Sooner rather than later. Ta Ra Marv.
  16. No surprises. We have a shit team and a shit manager. All of them are out of their depth.
  17. Yeah that happens to me too. Not too fussed at this moment in time though. I wonder how long they will keep the reseller portal open? Hopefully, there will be a few windows of opportunity before the tournament starts. I am keeping my hopes up that I luck out and get a couple of tickets for the Swiss game. If not, it is stub hub or the like for me.
  18. Is this a different link to the original ticket portal?
  19. I would have thought they would be e-tickets now with no need for a physical pick up. I thought that is maybe why they were going on about checking who had been scanned into the stadium.
  20. It shouldn’t be worrying times. I prefer to look upon it as an opportunity for the club to move onward and upward. The outgoing board have done a lot of good for the club and that shouldn’t be forgotten. However, the current decline both on and off of the pitch has taken place under their stewardship. So before I get dewey eyed about their departure I remind myself of where we currently find ourselves in the league. The supporters that have stopped going and the neglected state of Palmerston, which is becoming a poignant monument to the last years of their reign. The fact that volunteers were pulling out weeds the height of Lyndon Dykes last summer is embarrassing. Relying on young and old supporters to go and paint rotten wood work is disgraceful for any professional club. Let alone one that’s Chairman owns a construction firm. Then of course the PR disasters with SLOs and the George Galloway affair. As the years past they seem to have grown comfortable doing the bare minimum and sometimes not even that. That is why I suspect a significant chunk of our support no longer attend. This isn’t the time to worry about what might happen without our security blanket. Its a time to be optimistic about the future without it.
  21. Even more disappointing is that we will only have about 5% of their fan base in a couple of years time at this rate. Still, at least that will keep us warm when we are holding on to 1-1 at home to Stirling Uni. Probably played at Dumfries High School as Palmerston will have been sold for housing.
  22. I have a lot of admiration for Falkirk fans, you can add Morton, Partick and Dundee in there too in times of trouble. Their fans generally hound the board to get change. I don’t mean by turning up to their home or threatening them, but in way that makes life uncomfortable at games/ in the local media/at AGMs. The likes of what you talk about above, does eventually result in change. You take that sort of action away, and you would just accept the decline. It shows your fans care. For me, I don’t think we have that sort of spark/fight in our fans (or not enough) to do something like that, and I include myself in that. Our protests tend to be silent. The odd grumble on here, or just not going to games anymore. That should be more of a worry to the board, because the fans lost invariably don’t come back.
  23. I don’t think so (video/live stream). A nice sanitised, summary of events will be posted on the official website later in the week. All sunshine and roses.
