This is actually a good idea.

Unrelated note, is the AGM being filmed and made available to watch online?

    I don’t think so (video/live stream).

A nice sanitised, summary of events will be posted on the official website later in the week. All sunshine and roses.

  2. For me the only way this lot will take any notice is if nobody turns up to the games.

Have two or three home games before the end of the season when no home fans turn up at all. No hospitality bookings the lot.

They really are not taking any notice of fans, so perhaps something like this will get the message across.

What are the crowd like at the AGM generally? Are difficult questions normally asked or is the crowd full off happy clapper types?* I think serious questions need to be asked and answered tonight so hopefully it's the case rather than the BoD and manager (if he attends) getting an easy time of it. I'm guessing the most pressing questions will be worked around/not answered though. Q1 surely being - "How's he still here?"

*I've never been, haven't heard how these things normally go at QoS so it's a genuine question and not a passive aggressive pop at anyone.

I would imagine the Board get an easier ride than a groom-to-be, on his stag-do in Amsterdam.

    AGM this evening.

Hopefully it’s more exciting than usual 😀

    I wouldn’t have thought so.

It will be the usual “we are doing the best we can” line that we always get from those in charge of the club. That may well be the case, but it shouldn’t be acceptable any longer.

If the board say they will be standing down from their positions at the end of the season, that would be a step in the right direction.

In the market for the best PT players rather than the shittest FT players could be quite refreshing tbh.

On paper that sounds like a sensible idea. However, would you trust the current management team to not only get the best players available, but mould them into a winning team?

  6. I think most folk will be happy enough with that draw. Hopefully, we are going into it on the back of a good Euros too.

Tail up, I reckon we can challenge for the top spot.

i have to say, I haven’t looked forward to an International year as much as this one for a long time.

To paraphrase a line from a famous film “It’s brilliant being Scottish”! 😀

I think Gibson may have had cramp as shown in the post match photos.

Agree however, Marvin’s decisions are laughable sometimes. He is clueless

The sooner he’s out the better- he should stick to his stupid punditry career.

I agree he should be binned. However, the board  have demonstrated (for a number of years) that they have as much clue at choosing a manager, as they have about running a successful low-level football club.

Ultimately we currently have a shit team, and a shit football club. The bright side is that life moves on, and at some stage so will those that are now in charge.

I've bought black market tickets from different sources for several games in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, England and Scotland over the past 25 years and every time I've got my ticket. Once in Liverpool and once in Barcelona I was worried I was getting set up to get jumped but both times went absolutely fine. The actual secondary market in tickets must far exceed the scams.

Paying money up front for a ticket that needs to be transferred to you months later is obviously risky, but the agencies that deal in these have been around for a long time and sell a lot of tickets. If news got around that customers were getting scammed nobody would buy from them.

Yeah, I have used reseller companies before, and until you get the ticket and get in, there is always an element of doubt.

I used one for the Spain - Scotland game in Alicante in 2011 (I think it was) . The tickets were delivered to the hotel the day before the match.

if I don’t get any through any further UEFA sales, I will consider using one.

I suppose my main concern here is not so much not receiving the ticket, but not being able to activate it. That could be the sender not forwarding the activation code on etc.

As you allude to though, the more well known and established agencies should be on the ball. They are big business and have a lot to lose if they don’t come up with goods.

Currently this page is as exciting as the team some of us claim to support,  I don't post often but that's me finished with this page it's all doom and gloom , and I have enough of that going on watching the team .I think some of the posters on this page are pleased we are struggling so they can run with their agenda  .

Thank you for your input Mr Chairman.

To be fair, you are unlikely to be the Chairman. I mean, it seems you are remotely bothered about how fans perceive the board and the club.

  10. I am not sure about separate Scotland fans zones. However, there will be plenty of mixed fan zones available to accommodate everyone.

You don’t need a ticket and they are free to get in.

I am aware of one main fan zone and another seperate public viewing area in Cologne at least.  I am sure there will be plenty of places showing all the games though, wherever you are located.

You lot are going to go and win this now aren't you ?  please don't,  i may be making the trip there , see how the weather is first

I wonder if we will see Scougall , Donnelly,  making the bench .

It has been a few years since I have been confident of us winning a game. I start with the expectation of defeat. Any other outcome is a bonus.

For a testimonial, that was an entertaining watch this afternoon. Delighted to see a good turnout, and to be able to give the man the send off he deserves. We’ll never see another like him.

I never have, and probably never will see a better player for Queens than Stephen Dobbie.

Not only that, he clearly loved the club which was evident each time he stepped on the park. A true Queen of the South legend.

The thing is, he could probably still do a job for us too.

It's not often I'm beaten for pessimism, but hats off on this occasion.

No full time side should struggle down here but Falkirk did for long enough on gates of 4,000, so it's hardly unprecedented.

As for the board, I've been critical enough of stuff before, but I'm struggling to see what I'd be criticising here.

We did stay full-time.  We have appointed a manager most of us backed.

I get the argument that suggests systemic failings given how long we've been in decline.  However, I couldn't pinpoint those particular failings with confidence, so without shouting at clouds, I'm not sure what exactly I'm meant to be looking for.

A blind man can see that we are failing as a club.

Responsibility for the decline both on and off the field lies at the door of those at the top of the club. It really is as simple as that.

Of course, the board are elected by and are accountable to the shareholders. It seems the shareholders are happy enough with how things are going., So perhaps I should be too,.

It can’t get any worse than it is? I don’t see anything to suggest it won’t.
