Better from EF yesterday. Players looked like they wanted to be there and competed for 90 minutes. Think manager has dropped those who were not contributing. As said by others, summer refresh was awful and injuries to key players hasn't helped. Hopefully emergence of some young talent and couple of new faces gives hope for next season in League 2..

I think Mercer was also capable of playing on the Left too.

No rose tinted glasses for majority of EF fans regarding DY. There are other players like Watt surely worth a starting place or at least getting some game time. Too many regulars just not performing. 4 out of 4 dismal away performances in the league.

1st 3 away games to arguably the 3 strongest teams in the league but we have been embarrassing. Hart gets targeted by some but goalkeeper is not the problem. Serious rethink of tactics, starting 11 and system reqd and why so long before hooking players who are not contributing.

Credit where it's due - thought Higgins was immense today. MOTM by a country mile. Hearts threw everything at us in a very nervy first 20 minutes and it was desperate defending at times. Glad to go in at HT only 1 down. 2nd half was much more even and we caused them problems every time we broke upfield. Heroic performance throughout and proud to be a Fifer.

Anyone know our win, draw, loss record for competitive games with Higgins in the starting XI?

So who do we think for our next manager? 3 that instantly spring to mind (I've deliberately missed Yogi out) Paul Hartley Danny Lennon Darren Young

Would defo want Duggan to stay along with more striking options. Lamont is an excellent wide player who can go past defenders and deliver fantastic cross balls. Think most of our goals in the first part of last season came from his assists with Kevin Smith being on the end of most of them. Also great with free kicks. Did seem to struggle thereafter with injuries / fitness. Not really seen enough of Reilly or Mutch to judge them but both have shown potential. Wallace and Goodfellow probably need to prove they can establish themselves as first choices.

Agree 100% with smuggfifer. The board, associate directors, and volunteers are all devoted supporters and do their best for the club. We have to make do with what we have and need good management to try and get the best possible players available without breaking the bank. Robinson was always going to leave as he wanted to return to full time. Hopeful though that Page and Duggan and one or 2 others can be re-signed along with a few new quality additions to strengthen the team.

Additionally, we have no idea of what our squad will be like. Is Wilkie the only player signed for next season? Is the manager under contract for next season?

Strange to announce pricing so early as in theory we could be playing in the Championship, remain in League 1, or be relegated to League 2.
