  1. Crystal Palace were clearly going to romp it with a name sounding like a meth den.
  2. This is a ludicrous suggestion really. The amount of players who have looked decent in reserve and youth football then fallen away to the seaside leagues and further afar after failing to make any impact at professional senior football is huge. Giving players a first run out at is the best way of gauging where they are at in their career and whether they are worth a contract or not. Each player should be judged on a case by case basis rather one frankly ridiculous policy.
  3. He would be worth more as he has broken in to a team which has better players, and because of that would probably be in with more of a shout of a scotland cap. He would also most likely have been exposed to a higher level of football (Europe, more top 6 games). We would also have higher resources to keep him should a bid come in. All these factors would increase his value. So to summarise yes, it is moronic.
  4. Agreed. Thought Mcgregor was outstanding playing deeper and pinging long balls for fun and dictating play more. One blessing is disguise perhaps is that we would have been unlikely to have seen him in this role if we had signed Mcginn and that we probably would have put Christie away on loan again.
  5. Needs 3 weeks to get it ready but can also host two semi finals on one day apparently.
  6. We can miss out on Turnbull and Mcginn, neither are/were being signed as first team picks. We rarely sign a player to go straight in the team as our players are generally worth a lot more than we ever pay so have to develop them usually first. As much as he has huge potential he's hardly a marquee signing after one full season in the Scottish premiership so its not going to get fans off his back massively. They will have known the other potential suitors and Im sure they would have invited them to bid also, it looks like they have declined. Getting a record fee and then classifying it as the worst piece of business is ludicrous. Either way as much as I can understand Motherwell fans being gutted I am delighted with this signing.
  7. I like Mckenna but there’s no danger they turned down that sort of money for him. I think Hull bid 6 million bid at the time but it must have included clauses on them getting promoted and him getting 20 caps for Jamaica or something.
  8. I must admit I’m a bit baffled why he’s never been picked. Surely a better option than Mikey Devlin.
  9. Considering this is Clarke’s second game against the number 1 ranked team in the world we are looking far morse assured playing away against them than we did against Israel away.
  10. Eh? That big lump is ten times the player of any of our strikers in the squad at the moment.
  11. This is what I was saying about Mclean earlier. I think McKenna can be a decent enough international defender but only with games against better opposition and training with better players.
  12. It does but he looked well off the pace. He’s now playing at a higher level with better players on a regular basis.
  13. Fair fucks to Kenny Mclean. He looked absolutely out his depth at international level when he first got caps but he looks really assured past few games. A season in the EPL can only help too now.
  14. Seeing absolutely no St.Johnstone players belting the national anthem out has me bursting with pride.
  15. Well we all know Dundee belong in County Down.
  16. I think the last one broke when we made the refs go on strike. Good f*cking times.
  17. I see my Rockall song has been deleted by the censoring imperialist mods
  18. I wasn't angry at one moron attempting to assault our player. I was genuinely worried when I seen the St.Mirren goalie go down but then when you see the replays the guy was at it as he was About the goal mouth away from it ffs. I think Scottish football needs to have a discussion regarding the use of pyrotechnics and have ‘safe areas’ like in other countries. And if you go out with that then you should expect heavy heavy consequences. Neither were assault. One was attempted assault, the other wasn’t. The police statements after the game said much the same thing iirc.
  19. There really, really is. Intent is a huge thing and courts all over the world would agree by dishing out sentences far larger because of it.The guy who threw the pyrotechnic is by no means innocent but you cant really compare it to a guy who is trying to assault somebody. See post above numb nuts.
  20. You really are saying that throwing a bottle directly at somebody is the same as throwing a pyrotechnic in an area where nobody is around?
