  1. Go here and get the SPL figures. You'll find in Statistics that McMenamin has 6.
  2. Not how I read it. Rangers will have the right to defend themselves. The SPL had originally said that if their enquiries turn up to have found wrong doing they would take it further. Rangers are saying they dont want things to be taken further. Wonder why???? Because everyone knows they are guilty and that they cheated their way to ten years of success.
  3. No easy to sell ST's when you dont know the price structure. Div 3 prices will be a lot less than SPL.
  4. One other point I'd add to the above replies is that no other club that went into administration cheated ill people of hospital beds. Cheated children out of proper education. Cheated councils out of the funds required to keep our roads and parks etc up to standard. The biggest crime committed by Rangers is tax evasion and tax avoidance.
  5. I have been accused by some fans of my own club of threatening to turn my back on ICT. I re-iterate here that my stance on all this is that if storting integrity is not maintained and suitable punishments for the crimes committed are not put in place then I will turn my back on the sport I love. I can easily spend a lot less going fishing or walking the hills or even watching another sport. Illegal means have been used to gain advantage and if clubs decide not to punish that severely then those clubs are guilty of aiding and abetting those crimes and that does not bode well with my conscience.
  6. I wis educated in a wee toon wi a fort and a papermill and the only Stewarts we knew were tinkers.
  7. I dinnae ken how its spelt......nor did a ken there wis a proddy version..........but after all those years I can still recite the Apostles creed.
  8. 1745 Prince Charles Edward Stewart raises his standard at Glenfinnan and procedes to assemble an army to win back his throne.
  9. Assuming the question to be.....Do we accept the application of a Newco to retain the share of the oldco and enter the SPL? 8 yes replies would be required. Abstaining would therefore be treated as no.
  10. Just to clarify a point if it hasn't been done in a new page that will have opened before I write this. It is necessary for all div 1 clubs who have a chance of promotion to make application to SPL by 15th March. As league doesn't finish till May then it is normal for those with a chance of winning league to submit application. Falkirk, Dundee and Ross County will all have applied for membership of the SPL to replace the relegated team.
  11. Sorry to disagree with your observations but Hibs (who I actually wanted to win) didn't turn up for the first half hour. The first goal came because the Hibs defender at the post didn't move his arse out after the first phase of the set piece. Had he moved quicker he'd likely have caught Barr offside. Hibs came into the game for a while after they scored and should have come out in the second half fired up by there goal. Instead they lose possesion very quickly and the aforementioned defender gives away a penalty. The ref made the mistake in his decision that the infringement was inside the box but it was still a definite foul. The lad, knowing he had already been booked, should not have reached out and pulled the shirt. He should not have been in the position he was in in the first place. After that heads went down again. The bottom line is Hibs never turned up.
  12. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong here. My understanding, with Rangers, is that if they stay in administration till the end of the season they will still be in SPL but will be sanctioned with further points reduction at the start of next season. If they are liquidated they will automatically lose their membership of SPL and, as they are not members of SFL then any new team would need to apply for entry into that organisation and start in div 3. Being as there would be a vacancy in SFL 3 due to teams moving up the leagues to fill the void left by the demise of Rangers, and that any new club would likely meet all the criteria for membership of SFL, then I would imagine that new club would be the one of choice. I would also imagine that a large portion of the fanbase of RFC would transfer allegiance to any new club formed meaning that they could afford to retain full time staff and quickly work back up the leagues. They may take a few years to break out of SFL 1 though.
  13. Then he realised he couldn't live for a full season in a bough tent.
