  1. I know the Dolphins were all in on offering Armstead a bumper deal, but the longer this goes on the more I'm being convinced he's going to stay a Saint. If we miss out on him and Cooper, then we better not overpay some third string tackle, just because they're available. But it is the Dolphins after all.
  2. I know that sometimes it might feel that way, but FA has just started and there are still a lot of players who will be cut. Maybe your front office have specific roles they want to fill, so are waiting to see what happens and who's available. Remember every player that signs for a team affects their available cap space so later on when budgets are tighter competition might be less fierce. Especially if they are looking to sign players with potential on short term "prove it" deals. Just wait and see what the front office do in FA and draft before judging.
  3. Mike Gesicki can't block and hardly played any snaps inline last season. Instead he predominantly played as a slot receiver. There's every chance Gesicki could ask to be designated as a WR instead of a TE, a difference of approx $8million. Could be a costly decision by the Dolphins.
  4. Flores gets a job in Pittsburgh. For all the issues I had with the way Flores ran things in Miami, running the defence wasn't one of them. https://www.bbc.com/sport/american-football/60449408
  5. Chiefs fans are all talking about a now deleted article about how Bieniemy and Mahommes don't like each other, and more importantly don't work well together. I have no idea how accurate it is.
  6. I'm interested to see where Matt Araiza gets taken. I'm always against taking a punter in the draft, but this guy's highlights are pretty impressive. I'm sure there will be worse picks in the 3rd or 4th round.
  7. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2022/02/13/brian-flores-adds-texans-retaliation-claim-to-nfl-lawsuit/amp/ Flores amending his law suit to include Texans.
  8. Reading up on the current situation this is really starting to hurt Miami. Obviously any chance of the Harbaugh to Miami theory has now been blown out of the water. There are now talks that McDaniel might decide that he doesn't want the hassle if offered the job (especially if picks could be lost for tampering). Where would that leave the organisation? I also stumbled across the Tua PEDs story on-line today randomly. I had only heard that from one smaller Dolphins You-tuber before. I wonder if that will become more mainstream news to hurt Flores credibility along with other things being leaked. For what it's worth most Miami fans seem to believe Flores with regards the $100k and the Brady tampering allegations. I might not like Flores,, but I don't think that's outside Ross's behaviour pattern. Like most Miami fans I appreciate the bottomless pit of money he puts in, but not the way the shambles of the organisation is run.
  9. As a Dolphins fan, I have to try and choose my words carefully. I make no secret that I'm not a Flores fan and wanted him gone. I have heard stories about things that Flores has done (eg the way he treated Kenny Stills) and other things maybe not as high profile or widely known I believe that Flores, although he did get wins, was driving the Dolphins into a situation where players didn't want to be there and staff left as they didn't want to work for him. That being said, I don't doubt that there is a racism issue in the the league. I applaud Brian Flores for standing up for his beliefs. I have to assume, that Flores is telling the truth, and let's be clear he's almost certainly nuked any chance of getting a job in the league again and he must know that they are going to come after his reputation hard. For him to risk all of that as a matter of principle takes some courage. Its time to get to real, establish exactly what is going on, and end any racism in the league. What ever that means in regards to punishment for the Dolphins.
  10. I'm still convinced that Harbaugh is Miami bound, and that's been the plan since Flores got fired. I think there's just a lot of smokescreen so that Ross can say he didn't target Harbaugh from his beloved Michigan.
  11. It is possible for fans to be disappointed in the career choices a player makes whilst also understanding why the player made that choice. I don't think that makes them selfish.
  12. For over a week now, multiple sources have been saying where-ever Flores goes, they will at least try and get Watson.
  13. I know I mentioned I head it if from a Dolphins YouTube channel (he heard it from a Dolphins executive), but Jordan Schultz has also really pushed the Flores-Watson thread for a few days now.
  14. I heard a theory that suggested that Rick Smith might go to the Giants, so Flores could go and they would try and get Watson. It maybe a bit out-there, but I saw the logic. I suppose the same logic could apply to the Bears.
  15. Very much so. He's very talented at defense and he's good at improving young defensive players. He denied it, but it's widely accepted that he took over the defensive play calling during the 1-7 streak, which turned the season around.
  16. I'm hearing online rumours (no idea how accurate), that the Joe Judge decision was made after Flores was fired and he's the number one target.
  17. He most definitely is a major donor to Michigan. But it is significantly less than he has invested in the Dolphins. I'm also hearing if Harbaugh was to return to the NFL that he would prefer to be on the west coast. All the media talk is Jim Caldwell or Doug Pederson, but remembering Ross's admiration for Harbough (especially the embarrassing Sporano incident) I just can't believe that we wouldn't at least take a shot at landing him. But hey, I could be way off course.
  18. Seriously, don't take what Stephen Ross literally. It may be off the mark, time will tell.
  19. If this is true, Harbaugh would be the obvious suspicion.
  20. I think that's accurate. Based on results Flores can reasonably say he was due another year, but I think it wasn't going to get better. Experienced coaches and players don't want to work with him. The last two experienced coaches he has hired have left after one year. I know a lot will be made of his relationship with Tua, but it's bigger than that. If you follow anyone with any insight into the team they all say the same, players like Howard and Gesicki don't like him. Van Noy (explayer) doesn't like him. There were rumours that Will Fuller wanted to retire. Look at the Elandon Roberts Tua video (we will never know exactly what Roberts actually said). Even the Nick Hicks tweet is now very very telling. If Flores can fix his personality flaws and get players to relate to him and also get some good offensive coaches to run the offence then he's got a chance of turning out a decent HC, but just not in Miami. Does this save Tua, not necessarily. A new HC might not want to move forward with him and if they decide to move off him then I'm good with that. I think he has potential and they let him down with the offensive acquisitions, but he's not guaranteed and the new HC may have their own plans. I'm about to watch a video where more info is going to be discussed for more insight.
  21. Matt Haack was dependable, but not spectacular in Miami. We now roll with Pallardy, who has shanked just about every punt the last few weeks.
  22. TBF we just got a soft one as well.
