  1. His ability isn't in doubt. His attitude is and he can quite often huff about not contributing much. Make him chances and I've no doubt he'll do well though.
  2. Maybe Logan Chalmers will sign today resplendent in the new black and white Ayr United croc range and lounge wear
  3. Phil Parkinson the current Wrexham manager and former Sunderland manager Apparently McGeady fell out with him and told him he was out of his depth at Sunderland and he lasted just over a year. Looks like a lower league merry go round manager.
  4. When I saw the starting line up my first thought was that it looks like absolute cannon fodder.
  5. Seemed to come off the bench occasionally from round about when Doolan arrived
  6. He sounds like exactly the same type of player his Dad was when he was at Stranraer. I loathed Darren Henderson until we signed him
  7. Wonder if his Dad is Jimmy Carse our former prolific reserve side scorer in the 90s when Burley was here
  8. Jamie Adams on a play when you can deal and as Assistant to Bullen.
  9. Can we just steal David Watson instead? He stays down here so you know it makes sense He's far more the type of midfielder we need.
  10. Maybe Ashford will be used as back up striker instead of midfielder as that's his position? Has he ever had a few games in a row there alongside another striker? I remember a few ineffective ones when he got put there in an emergency.
  11. Better get a dark room for Reading, Ashford and McAllister. They're going to need a lie down with the runaround they're getting
  12. Albinson McAllister Kirk McGinty Musonda Murdoch Smith Mullin Dempsey Maguire Dipo
  13. If we go with Murdoch and Dempsey as our centre midfield pairing again next season we will just have the same problems we've had since December. Both are decent players and worth keeping but as a pairing they go missing far too often. I also dunno if my memory is failing but did Murdoch not play just behind the strikers when McCall was here? I seem to have it in my head he did..
  14. Aye I bet our current wage bill still doesn't top the £1.2 million a year one under Barr and the season after he was gone and most of the expensive contracts were still there. Then the big red tax bill arrived after Donald Cameron took over
  15. To be honest we've been playing with nobody in centre midfield (except on an odd occasion) since December. For me Murdoch and Dempsey as a pairing have disappeared far far too often. Both are decent individual players but neither really impose themselves. As a partnership it clearly isn't good enough. That's another position along with both full backs we will have to sort in the summer. Tonight actually might show folk what Sam Ashford brings when he plays on the left. There was zero cover for Reading there tonight and it was all to easy in there. I'm not saying Ashford is the answer over there. As he isn't. However without him putting a defensive shift in the difference was big. Albinson,Musonda and McGinty are the 3 we know will probably start next season. For me every other position should be up for grabs. Sadly I think Hewitt has had his chances. Other than Cove he just hasn't looked anywhere near ready for this level. Smith I would like to see actually get a few games. He does seem to have some quality about him and can swing in a good set piece.
  16. Smith did more in 15 minutes than Dempsey,Mullin O Connor and Murdoch in 90
  17. If Including the small stand and enclosure section it's just over 3200 I think. Without stand etc I think it's around 2700
  18. Took this in the garden a while back. It appeared a few times. One of the days it hid behind a shed and hollowed out a pigeon. I never knew it was there and absolutely shat it when it managed to fly over the fence with pigeon carcass in its beak. It flew into the neighbours garden and dropped it. Picked it up again and flew over the fence there and promptly dropped the hollowed bloody mess at the feet of the folk 2 doors along having lunch in their garden. The image of the wife running up the garden away from it will never leave me
  19. I can see us and ICT shitfesting a 0-0 and Morton pinching the play off spot.
  20. I'd be tempted to play 3-5-2 and just bin the full backs. McAllister McGinty and Musonda at the back. Smith, Murdoch, Dempsey,McAlear and O Connor in midfield. Dipo and either Ashford or Maguire up top. We have to win. Might as well fling everything at it. ..so no doubt we'll go 5-5-0
  21. We know Dipo will be going but I don't think that any of the rest are irreplaceable. Albinson, Musonda and McGinty probably deserve to stay but most of the rest have been rendered invisible for large spells since around the end of October. Who we replace them with is a different story. The likes of Tommy Goss at Annan for example has a decent scoring record and must be an improvement on Ashford or McKenzie surely ?
  22. I would have had Bryden on to play alongside Dipo and provide a bit more energy up there. O Connor playing where Ashford was and Smith on for Murdoch or Dempsey. Or even try Smith where JML was as he has a decent cross on him
  23. No they didn't really tbh. Just didn't do much of note either. Houston possibly in that category too.
