  1. Way too early for this stuff IMO, but you really think you'll not even be top four? Wow...
  2. Starting with Partick (a) no doubt, which will also be the first of our two visits through there. And 14 away games.
  3. What a waste of a great talent. Thanks for half a season of fantasy football, but no thanks for a comeback.
  4. Yup, absolutely this. Flattered to deceive most of his time here, we need guys that will apply themselves. Look at the stick Sammon gets (quite rightly) for ambling around the pitch looking like he can't be arsed. Hippo-lytte-weight ain't the answer.
  5. Yeah, would agree. That would mean those 5 or 6 - recognisably good quality signings - coming on two year deals, to have that continuity. With around 850 season tickets renewed to date, apparently, still a way to go to generate suitable funds.
  6. IF we manage to get up this time, we'd have to rebuild yet again. How many of the current squad would be good enough to keep us in the Championship if they weren't even good enough to get us out of League One? Mutch & Gary Miller excepted, who else? Connolly? Todd? Gomis for half a game? Can't see how we could avoid another overhaul, sadly.
  7. Yeah, would take Nelson back. He worked hard, was mobile and had some pace, and his finishing got better during his time here. In fact, the exact opposite in every respect of the Harry Haddock who we're currently stuck with. Its hard to think how much better than Nelson we could realistically get at this level, unless we can somehow kidnap Rudden.
  8. He had a striking partner last year! He's not effing interested so get him oot.
  9. Way too early to say. Depends on who we - and everybody else - sign up. At the moment we've not even got a team, never mind a decent one. If we can't bring in two decent strikers, a couple of young, pacey midfielders, an aggressive centre half and a strong right back - as a minimum - then no, I wouldn't hold out much hope. And yes, if we don't go up, I think its a pretty safe bet that there'll be quite a lot of kicking off at the MSG & BOD.
  10. yeah, but who voted for it? So, some legislative matters go to the vote, and some don't? Would quite like to see a 42-club vote on fecking colt teams.
  11. That's way too meh. At best, and its a stretch, Mutch New RB New CH Dixon New LB New RW G. Miller New CM Connolly New ST New ST Subs - Gomis, Todd, Hall, Miller Benny T's car park attendant - Sammon
  12. Agree with all of that, sadly. Our main hope is that with so many players laid off, not everyone will be able to be so choosy. A big, big couple of months coming up for our rookie managers; finding someone who carries the same goal threat and the selfless work-rate of McManus ain't going to be easy.
  13. Considering you guys feared the worst, it not that bad. And its not unlike this Puma effort we had a few years back. So hurrah, looks like Falkirk do win this season's worst new strip.
  14. G'on, maybe just one other club? Just one more? I know they're only 8 years old; but really... f**k 'em.
  15. "Late July" for the fixture schedule, apparently. We must win the opening day fixture - for a change - then immediately call for the 20/21 season to be declared. We go up to the Championship, Hearts come down to League 1, and Cove go back down to 2. Budge self-combusts.
  16. Really? If Sammon looked like he could give a fcuk, that would be a start. Opposition defenders probably couldn't believe their luck last season, he offered so little as a threat my mum could probably mark him during a game. God help us if he's first choice in October.
  17. And there's the problem - a camel is a horse designed by committee. Our strip is awful. Awful. A dog's dinner of colour and random geometric pattern, more suited to the Tour De France than a football pitch. Airdrie's looks well smart, and Dundee away is the best I've seen so far.
  18. There's only two things that could ever really be charged with 'tearing Scottish football apart' and they both come from Glasgow.
  19. If we have 9-10 players on the books we need to at least double that plus 3/4. Most folks seemed to feel we were too light on numbers last time out. No probs getting in some part-time players; all depends who's in the market, but whatever it takes is fine by me if we have inject some drive, energy, pace, width and please God some flair on display. No more half-paced, square-ball-and-backwards plodders. Targets? Get McManus back for starters, please don't leave us stuck with big half-arsed Harry Haddock up front. And buy Rudden too (am only half-joking).
  20. Oh dear. Presumably you'll be equally encouraged that positive test results have been confirmed for such a supremely-fit, super healthy athlete as Novak Djokovic, and his super privileged wife, a '5G Masts controlled by aliens' conspiracy theorist living aboard the good ship lollipop... Meanwhile, back on Planet Earth...
  21. Yeah, sorry to hear it. Best for a full recovery.
  22. Who else is going up then? Currently 12 inc Hearts, plus DU makes 13. And given the last vote was so comprehensively against 14 in the top flight, how will this fare any better?
