They've just changed the rules on handball halfway through the tournament?

Anyone who supports VAR should redirect themselves to the Wrestling board where all the other virgins hang out.

The referee in the Scotland v Argentina game had 3 kids?
How did that happen???Who knows what they're up to in North Korea

VAR is for virgins

VAR should be removed from football.
Not heard anyone point out that the referees are obviously not up to the standard. Don't understand why experienced men referees can't be used. Surely gender of the officials doesn't matter, as shown by females refereeing male matches.

Except Doolan has earned a small fraction of what Miller has.Miller would've earned more in his 6 months in Turkey than Doolan has earned his whole career.

There's a thread called something like "Out the mouth of babes"

Where about's does Miller live? Not sure how it works as a professional footballer but surely with the money he's made in his career the difference between playing for Dundee and Partick is pittance and rather the hour commute to Dundee would play a part in his decision.

What’s the politics behind the Man Utd and Liverpool derby?
The rivalry is between the cities of Liverpool and Manchester. However this is a rivalry mostly based on sporting competitiveness and geographical proximity, it is somewhat a manufactured rivalry. Man Utd's true rivalry is Leeds United which traces all the way back to the Civil war of Lancashire vs Yorkshire War of the Roses then the competition of both cities during the Industrial Revolution.

When it comes to foreign policy we should just align 100% with America and use soft power to influence them.

Of course, if we let the vast majority of religions have any say over politics, homosexuality would be illegal.
Religion can lead peoples morals, but it has absolutely no place in politics.
Religion is politics. It is the method that the intellectual ruling class used to define laws and morality before our modern methods of law and order were possible.

This isn't really a sensible position to hold, but there is a politics forum on the general nonsense thread, so I don't want to get too into it.
Football and religion are largely about social identity and community, with the belief developed secondarily (in religion, not fitba). They're also very similar in terms of symbolism and purpose of ritual, so it's no coincidence that they should be bedfellows. Celtic, for example, were founded by clergy as a charity concern to support the poor Irish (who were all catholic) and are an expression of Glasgow's Irish catholic community. It is also an expression of faith in action, which is where religion meets politics.
Religion and politics should absolutely mix. Jesus was, amongst other things, a political activist. Martin Luther King was another man whose religion informed his politics.
Agree with this.
It's fashionable to now follow the line that sport and politics shouldn't mix. FIFA and UEFA are particularly keen to get this message across as it makes the game easier to market for sponsorship money. What they fail give recognition to is that the very reason that football has become the successful global game it is today is that the game and clubs have always been fiercely linked to supporters' identity be that ethnic, political or religious.

Can you actually state an example where a woman has grabbed a man at a political convention and dragged them away to stop them from speaking?
Why would it matter? What point are you trying to make?
Is your point that they don't/can't do it? That would be a sexist thing to think.

If this was a right-wing male who tried to storm the stage before being stopped by a woman nobody would have any problem with it. This is sexist and wrong.

Top story all day is the Mark Field MP intervened to stop a protester walking on stage in the middle of the Chancellor's speech. Usual suspects on twitter are outraged and calling for his sacking/imprisonment.
Surely I can't be the only one who thinks this is a nonsense non-story?

Great news that the Scottish government has taken the sensible route.

The smallest amount of contact on the ball does not prevent it being a foul ffs.
Nonsense. Only a foul if the tackle is deemed to be careless, reckless or using excessive force. If she touches the ball that tackle is none of those.

VAR got the decisions correct. If you can’t understand that and keep screaming about a decision VAR can’t change like a toddler then we will go our separate ways.
What is the correct decisions - re-take free-kick
What did VAR give - Penalty
So VAR didn't give the correct decision. It's not hard to understand except for virgins who have never even felt the warmth of a women's embrace.
