  1. I have the highest Musical IQ in this forum by far. It is hilarious to sit back and watch the perfect exhibition of the Dunning–Kruger when others question my music taste.

  2. Just also secured briefs for Retro Video Club at St Luke's.

Anyone that wants to be in the "before it was cool" club should check these guys out, like a Scottish Catfish and the Bottlemen.

  3. Genuinely fucking raging btw. If it was too some Faroese or Malta minnows I would be having a right laugh but getting beat to the Welsh is no joke. Imagine the wee virgins like Gareth, Gethin and  Dafydd sitting buzzing at this result. The team aren't even fucking Welsh, north wales is just Scouse over-spill.

If picking out a list of stuff I’m pretty sure will be worth listening to each Friday is autistic behaviour then guilty as charged. Pretty sure it’s not though...though maybe instead I’ll just sit around listening to the same 3 records until enough folk on my Facebook timeline start tubthumping about another generic tit with an acoustic guitar. Sounds like a hoot.

How do you pick out your stuff though? Do you go on recommendation of music journalists or something?

Also had never heard of cinnamon before reading this thread, had a listen and his songs are ok, not really for me but I can see the appeal. His stage performance is massively off-putting tho, just seems like a ned doing his best Liam Gallagher impression.

He has not claimed to be anything else. All he's done is release songs and do a few Facebook posts. No self-promotion, interviews or anything.

Haven’t knowingly heard a single second of a Gerry Cinnamon track, as with something like “Mrs Browns Boys”, for example, the kind of people championing him/it is more than enough evidence for me to steer well clear.

Why have you not heard a track?

Aye that's about right. I've seen him and few times and it's an absolutely fantastic atmosphere aided by the venues being quite small, not sure how that will translate in bigger venues.

Seen him at TRNSMT last year and it's the best atmosphere I've ever seen for an outside show. Also saw supporting The Courteeners at The Hydro and it was quality. Don't get any bigger venues.

Every songs has the same components.   The quick direct lyrics, and few strums on the guitar and then that electronic foot drum.

Hope over Fear's easily his best piece of work.

    Nothing  wrong with that though.

For someone that's totally R n R, having a Grime artist as his support is baffling. I know his son is into that shite but dan't think that many going to an LG gig will have any interest in listening to that genre of music. Not to worry though, more pub time. 🙂

Just listened to that slowthai boy  Utter tragic, what the f**k is going on.

  10. Was thinking, see TRNSMT. Hilarious that Police, council etc allow it because it is a music festival. It would never be allowed if it was just called the "MWI Festival" and the speakers just played GBX. That would shift tickets quicker and you wouldn't need any of the Emperors new clothes type nonsense of Stormzy and the like. Nobody gives a shit about the music, it's just about getting MWI and the wee girls having an excuse to show some flesh.
