  1. Thanks for that. Their drilled routine is increasingly boring to watch, there's no doubt about that. With that said, Froome has provided some exciting moments in the past, particularly enjoyed his battle with Cobo a few years ago in the Vuelta. Like yourself (although probably to a lesser extent), I watch cycling to be entertained and there's no doubting the guys you mention are welcome characters. My next question, I guess, is what makes Sky so much better at doping than others. I realise they have more money than other teams, but what is it spent on to give them such an advantage?
  2. As a genuine question, what is the justification for Sagan and Dan Martin's wins being seen as impressive and deserved, but Froome and Porte's efforts in the Criterium being brushed off? I grant you Team Sky's set up is suspicious, but does that not need to be taken as part and parcel of road cycling?
  3. Not surprising, but interesting given he struggled to stay with the main contenders during last year's Tour. I'm sure no eyebrows will be raised at Sir Bradley though. On another note, outside the fact he's a professional road cyclist, has there ever been any suspicion over Andy Schleck and use of PEDs?
  4. To the slow cooker experts - when using mine I always have the issue where the sauce/gravy is runny and doesn't reduce (presumably because it's never brought to the boil). How do I get around this issue?
  5. It was a tongue in cheek comment given he's the only one of these riders to have tested positive for performance enhancing drugs.
  6. People on here need to remember Froome signed up for this tour to support Wiggins, so why would we expect anymore? The plan was always going to be for Wiggins to make time over the time trials and for the excellently chosen and well paid (by comparison to other riders) team to support him on the mountains. Wiggins has managed to follow their wheel, unlike Evans who sadly struggled to keep up with Teejay today. I'm sure Froome will be a team leader and GC contender next year, whether at Team Sky or elsewhere. By the way, what a race in the mountains 2013 could be with the Schleck's, Contador (if clean), Froome, Evans, Nibali and Wiggins!
  7. Because they're doing well, have the favourite to win the Tour in their team, and had an excellent day yesterday...so they must be cheats! I'm sure with all the drug tests and scrutiny this topic is under, especially with the Armstrong story in the papers, any cheats will be found and punished accordingly. Until then, I think we should all be pleased with the fact we have world class athletes competing in a major sporting event. Sky had the perfect day. They set a high tempo going up the final climb, the excellent Chris Froome winning the stage and Wiggins comfortably matching the attack of Evans. I was very surprised at how many of the riders fell away though. Still a long, long way to go. Sky need to do the same today and make sure Wiggins crosses the line with Evans, then go all out on Monday's time trial to increase the gap.
  8. Superb win for Cavendish today, who proved his doubters wrong winning without the help of his team. Two more stage wins and he becomes the sprinter with the most stage wins of all time, and fourth most stage wins in the history of the TdF, in only his fifth Tour. Interesting to hear him say he wants to win in Paris. I'd still be surprised if he doesn't pull out before the mountains to focus on the Olympics. Wiggins can take the the headlines across Europe (except the UK) from there.
