Simple answer. Accies want it much more than we do and are putting in their best effort to get a strong grip on the game. I think they thought they just had to turn up and everything would fall into place, especially on the back of last week's result.

Exactly why we will never see fourth🤣🤣. Struggling against quite easily the worst team in the championship jeezo.

I’d have Nolan signed for next season by now, if it were up to me. Has improved as the season’s gone on and you can see the confidence that getting game time under his belt has given him. Him and Lang are good centre half pairing for the Championship.

I’m with you on that. I was sceptical of Nolan to begin with. But week on week the improvement is showing. Also adding a bullet header to his list of accomplishments. I’d be happy if he signed on again.

Why do I even give excuses? Pathetic or otherwise. It’s because I care for the club. You clearly have a different value system where leaving a ground early once in a while is some heinous act.

I’m glad for you. I wish I still had that thrill.

You are a prominent poster, I just think you need to start feeling it again. It’s not always pretty. But it’s the fans that matter. It’s what the club deserves. If Motherwell is your club at heart then bash on.

It’s quite a strong opinion. Fellow Rovers supporters calling me a weirdo and pathetic seems harsh to me. What an inclusive, non-judgemental bunch you are. He’s a lapsed Dundee United but he’s been going to the Rovers for years now cause he lives in Kirkcaldy. Just like I’m a lapsed Motherwell fan who lives in Kirkcaldy.

Ah.. that explains it. You’re actually a Well fan. Nae harm in that. Thanks for the cash😆

I just chummed a pal who wasn’t feeling it to the pub. Weirdo behaviour seems harsh. I suspect that most of my peer group aren’t that passionate about football anymore. We like it, we’d miss it if it was gone, but it’s not all consuming.

Mate I’m 52 and still get butterflies in my stomach every time I enter Starks Park. It’s the ultimate thrill. You shoulda maybe stayed in the pub and not went.

First goal was a personal disaster for the Cove keeper. Second goal was piss poor marking by a Cove defender.

Third goal. A central defender scores from a corner. A rare thing at Starks this season.

Fourth goal is why they call it the beautiful game. A lovely finish.

After we scored that cracker to go 4-0 up we seemed to take our eye off things in terms of game management and Cove scored and had another good chance before Rovers decided to play again.

Of course, I’m only going on the highlights package as I left at HT and went to the pub cause my pal said it was like watching a training game. I can’t argue with that but I did say to my friends who stayed that it would now end up 8-0. Close.

That was a Gary Wales strike if you ask me.

How the hell did you manage that?

You could watch the game from the queue for the pie huts back then.

As for the bogs at the Links End, that was a case of in and out as quick as humanly possible. They blew the bookies' toilets at the start of the original Trainspotting out the water.

Too busy yapping, and a queue for the bog unbelievably

We have (arguably) the best midfield in this league.  Yesterday was one of the few times we looked like we had a genuine centre forward on the pitch, so in a way it stands to reason that we finally gave someone an absolute hiding.

Said it numerous times before, but Brown is absolutely critical to that side, and we should be building the team around him.  A genuine leader.

    …..and the best Goalie

I’m sticking with: 1 Aug 1992, First Division, Raith Rovers 7-0 St. Mirren

There were a good half dozen 5 goal matches I saw while trolling back for 6 goals in League.

Edit: Dalziel, Dair, Coyle, Dalziel, Brewster, Dalziel, Brewster…I think the goal you are thinking of might be Brewster’s first, from a free kick at 3+48.

I missed 3 of the goals, pie duty and the bog. Ok I like pies🤣🤣

Bang on the nose: my worry is Sim likes the "stewardship" aspect but won't go that extra mile. Sure he could have seen some flaw in the possible owners but I'm sceptical of that.

I don't believe Sim has a "football brain" hence the list of random statements. This was in my opinion the season to shoot high given the strength in the league and we missed the boat.

Next season will be incredibly difficult to see top 4 being a realistic option.

Sim is the boil that needs to be lanced. He alone will ruin this club, and its reputation along with it. We needed this takeover. But the narcissist will not budge. So we won’t get any meaningful backing to strengthen the squad, especially as next season will be tough as hell. Cheers you old b*****d.

Impressed by that Ian Murray interview. Absolutely honest assessment of the performance and didn’t try to sugar coat it at all. Bad day all round and move on to next week.

Thank god, we have honesty at last.,if we somehow manage to escape the relegation playoffs we need to see what’s available next season. We need to tie down MacDonald, Connolly at all costs. Defenders and  strikers are a frickin must.
