I’m not saying he isn’t still a good player, as frankly I have not seen him play for ages, but he wouldn't be joining Queens Park if he was still playing at that level.
Respect the project, mate...

quite up for Wilson getting announced asap... hope his agent isn't still shopping him around.

Maybe I'm doing them a disservice and Welsh plus Mackenzie Carse coming in was good cover and squad building.

I've heard that he allegedly didn't really settle in Scotland and wants to move back down south

Is this the downside of the end of Beuker-ball, transitioning to meat and potato-ball?

well that's a fucking blow.

It's the timing as much as anything. We're looking for new additions to go straight in to lift things. The longer this rumbles on, the less likely they'll be able to play on Saturday.

Aaron Healy out on loan to Dumbarton. Bit surprised it's to Dumbarton but a loan seems sensible...

Defo a centre half in… if he’s going to play a back 3, we might need two in?
And another forward to help ease the load on Paton, someone with a wee bit of experience for his development would be ideal.

Spong solely to blame for the second goal, just didn’t switch on quick enough.
100%. Ironically, Welsh shows how this is done in the lead up to the free kick / first goal - he’s switched on and tracks back and covers really well. But if Welsh had Spong’s control he wouldn’t have been done for the second yellow.

Might be in the minority here but I’m disappointed, not distraught by that one. First half was brutal - wid get fitba stopped, was glad to see change of formation in the second and got a deserved equaliser. If yer auntie had baws and all that but I think we stroll that with 11 players.
Took us a bit too long to get organised after the red but kept battling after the 2nd goal.
Some brutal refereeing and trigger happy linesman but deary fucking me, Sean Welsh. No excuse to get involved in that if you’re on a yellow.

Yeah, that’s pish news. Hope they can see sense and make a quick change now that Brown has so been announced. Can see how they might have been caught off-guard at the Raith game. No excuses this time.

Scott Brown might do very well, but having just seen some of the coverage and commentary of the Ayr appointment I’m so pleased to be nowhere near the Old Firm sideshow.

That's probably true but I do think fans also have power. Another aspect of the Thistle comparison above is that their supporters association is really active. If formal membership isn't your bag and you're more interested in the QPSA, give this post a like and I'll ping you across some details.

Magic stuff. Like most others I was surprised that Spong was sub but really interesting comments from CD about wanting to learn how players react to being on the bench and how they react coming off it. Not even a week in and he’s installed a bit of hunger and competition in the squad that we haven’t seen all season.
Pleased for all the players but especially chuffed for Cammy. He’s almost been the poster boy for how not to bring through players after that roasting at Firhill - would be lovely to see him get a good run now.

Assume he'll be wanting Welsh to play a similar role where he dictates the midfield and allows the CBs to play it short, and thats how you build your way up the park sort of thing
We’ve got one of these. His name is Jack Spong.

Regardless if Thomson is out of contract or not, had a wee search and it seems like Carlisle are fairly loaded now due to their new owners. If there’s any substance to the rumours, it seems like they’d have no issue bidding for him
New money c***s - trying to buy success. Haven’t they heard of Gretna.

Jack Thomson linked with Carlisle (the Record) - out of contract in the summer...

Yep - mutually consented back to Bavaria... frees up some wages if nothing else..

Wild that we've been pish for so long and aren't massively adrift at the bottom of the league.

Still can't say I'm wowed by the Davidson appointment but I do think he'll take us up several notches, especially with the prospect of '2-3 players coming in'.
One of the things that jumped out in the interview was CD being attracted by the 'structure'. Hopefully we'll get a bit more clarity tomorrow but I'm guessing this means that he'll largely be coaching (alongside Liam Craig, which oddly I'm probably more excited about) and the transfer / academy stuff will be handled elsewhere. That probably mitigates a bunch of the criticism on here from Saints fans but we'll see.

Wonder if we'll see him rock up at Hibs.
