  1. After running the Men's Health 10km last week, I decided to enter that St. Andrews Hospice 18km in September and up the Great Scottish Run to the Half Marathon. But, I've hurt my knee. No idea how I've done it. It starts after about two or three km. I ran 18km this morning. Most I've done before that was about 12.5km. The knee never hurt too much, I was able to run it, but when I came in, I couldn't move it for like ten minutes!
  2. Completed this in 45mins 58 seconds which is about 3 minutes quicker than I anticipated. Quite happy with that.
  3. I started doing some outdoor running (as opposed to pounding the treadmill for 20 minutes) last year, but only really managed to get to 5km mark. But this year, I've been running a lot, up to running a distance of 12.5km in one go, and running up to 40km a week now. Hitting a 10k mark in about 48 to 50mins. I've got my first ever race, the Men's Health 10k on Sunday. I've signed up for the Great Scottish Run 10k, but thinking about upping it and entering the Half Marathon. Really enjoying it. I never thought I would. I feel like Forrest Gump, at times! Always feels like I'm running!!
  4. After seeing him at a recent festival, I bought my first CD in years yesterday. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - The Heist
  5. American Psycho Christian Bale pretty impressive in this film. 7/10 Dream House This was quite a good film. Though I didn't really get why Daniel Craig character was sectioned, so sort of lost me with that. 6/10
  6. Going to Free Press Summer Festival over in Houston in a couple of weeks. I haven't been to a festival since T in the Park 2006!
  7. Philadelphia First time I've seen this film and it was fantastic. Quite thought provoking, especially with Denzel Washington as the prejudiced African American lawyer. Tom Hanks is a brilliant actor too. 8/10
  8. Boys Don't Cry I watched this last night. A really powerful film. Hilary Swank really did look like a guy! 8/10
  9. I got a follow from Derek Rae. Also, George Bowie and Susie McGuire.
  10. Either Viagogo or try outside the stadium before the game.
  11. Killer Elite An ex-SAS soldiers, kidnapping and a bit of shoot-em-up. Jason Statham, Robert De Niro and Clive Owen. It sounds not bad, but it's a load of shite. 3/10
  12. I stayed in Dennistoun and used to go down a couple of times a week. The beer is better there, I'm not sure the bottle does it justice. But it's not the best lager that they do. I much prefer the "WEST" which is their 4% lager. A lot more drinkable.
  13. St Mungo WEST Scotland Got a few bottles of these. It's quite nice. Better out draft but I prefer their "WEST" lager which isn't as strong and more drinkable. 6.5/10
  14. La Chouffe Brasserie D'Achouffe Belgium This is quite nice. Similar to a Duvel, but not quite as harsh tasting and a bit more drinkable. 8/10
  15. Kelpie Seaweed Ale William Bros Brewery Scotland It's ok, tastes a bit like burnt cabbage but it's a bit lighter tasting than it looks. I much prefer the Fraoch Heather Ale. 5/10
  16. St. Stefanus Blond St. Stefanus Belgium I'm having one of these tonight. A St. Stefanus Abbey Beer from Belgium. Really quite nice. Edit: thinking back, it's probably one of my favourite beers. Since it's bottle conditioned, it means that it matures over age. There is a taste notes on the label which give you an idea of what it will be like depending what it's bottled. It also tells you when it was bottled luckily enough. I got a 4 month old beer, so it was quite zesty tasting. The scale goes up to 18 months! 9/10
  17. I had it on in the background. Didn't really get it to be honest. A bit weird keeping him up in the attic.
  18. I'm having a lazy Sunday afternoon Fraoch Heather Ale. Been a few years since I last had it, and I've been missing out! Very tasty!
