  1. Yes Billy, tax was deducted from your EBT - but not enough. Everything coming out now is simple deflection.
  2. Almost correct. I have Airdrie to hate and I would love it........, love it if Celtic were next tp go. Central Scotland would be a far better place to live. You are not called the 'Old Firm' for nothing - two cheeks and all thst.. I chose to dislike them both because I cannot agree with what many of them (youse!) stand for. I am only cool just now coz, for the third time in my life, Docs are back in fashion. Once Samba are back, I'll be No 1. PS the fingers are playing in dunfermline sat 4 August but Jake needs to lose a few pounds.
  3. They don't comment on individual cases but, and here's what the Bluenoses don't get, they'd rather get hee haw that accept pennies. Simply to say that they mean business. And other companies, who owe will collectively owe squillions, get the message that that liquidation and pheonix company is not an option. They lost the Redknapp case but I am sure quite a few people thought "feck me they go after him, they'll come after me" and own up to their own foreign money. HMRC are paying off thousands of people but are hiring more investigators, Why's that then? Rangers may be a big thing in Glasow but they mean nothing to real institutions. Do their supporters really think that the likes of Tesco and William Hill are shaking in their shoes over some pathetic 'boycott'?
  4. Since day one of this HMRCs postion has remained the same. The country is skint, they're coming after you. It is only the twangers who say "aye Rangers will get deal" that has changed,
  5. Yes they are the very very first people paid. Yes they are taking money out of Scottish Football but because the journos are so poor they do not go on about it.
  6. It is not there job to make sure players didn't have to be released. It is their job to cut costs. McCoist you are replaceable by your assistant and have no transfer value, you cost us thousands per week. Goodbye. Broadfoot, we've a young player who is comparitable to most in the SPL, and he costs £5,000 less than you. Goodbye. etc etc simple arithmetic Or alternatively - was McGregor's few grand a week wage 'cut' at a cost of £2,000,000 future transfer fee? And anyway they were in negotiations with the players about a wage cut - absolute nonsence. Derek Adams was told take wage cut or we'll sack you. That is what should have happend It all stinks.
  7. The Administrator at Motherwell got rid of nine players plus some staff after one day. The Administrator at Rangers believes, for example, that Rangers could not function wihout a football manager. I mean no way could the assistant step up. It all stinks. Maybe thet are only running at a loss now because of the one million pounds plus owed to the administrators !!!!!
  8. Was one of the Old Firm directors, who sold electrical goods, always called a 'fridge magnate' ? Or did I just think that?
  9. You've confused me. If a billionaire comes in, Rangers owe Hearts £800,000. He'll need to pay it. Surely it doesn't matter if Hearts are due the money now, tomorrow, or next month. He'll still need to pay it. Therefore it a debt.
  10. Or they could do some investigative journlism like "Dude trying to buy Rangers is a chancing whore with absolutely no scrupples" That would have sold a few. All they had to do was phone me.
  11. Was it fifteen points? the only thing I remember was that the commitee who decided the amount contained a chairman of a rival club. The amount deducted was the exact amount needed to keep his club in the league.
  12. I've read through a bit and there seems to be some negativity here. I think we should just stick the things we know we know or think we know Rangers FC are out of Europe next season (is this a world record amount of times in one season) there is a fair chance they'll not be in the top two they have no game for ages it's Scotttish Cup weekend the entire club, support and media friends are apopleptic - I mean some of them are pased the usual daftness and way beyond hope. Why don't we just chill out for wee while, enjoy it and worry tomorrow?
  13. Real Radio phone in You can't sack the players you'll lose £25m in assets next gut I blame HMRC coz I got harassed when I never paid my Counicl tax. Are these on the wind up ?
  14. It just shows the huge disparity in Scottish Football. The team that is third is trying to raise £250,000 through a fans issue to keep them going during a barren season . The team that's second have spunked four times that by not handing out redundancies when they should have.
  15. But you must agree with executing Hugh Keevins though. So something good may come out of it.
  16. Now that is either just plain silly or very badly written. They need to cut money not people. They could get rid of twenty players and save a few grand per week, or two players and save £50,000+
  17. I think it's shocking that a club, whose Chairman says are losing £10 million a year and therefore need to lose £800,000 per month off a wage bill, are so thick, they actually thought it would be OK to take someone else on.
  18. Fingers crossed. Because we are not all morally bankrupt. (coming from 'Well fan I know, I know.....but surley we were a warning to others.) Looks like HMRC are trialing it out, al la Poll Tax. It would surpirse you how little the big club is down south. Those organisations have absolutely no clout with HMRC and HMRC will ignore them. HMRC got pummelled recently for letting off Vodafone, they won't do that again. HMRC took on Redknapp and lost. Then came out with "we will pursue you all" If that frightened some people to own up then HMRC won a victory of sorts. Same with ths tax case. Even if they lose but stop companies paying staff this way they claim a slight victory. So I cannot see HRMC do anything but pursue them for everything they can.
  19. And don't tell me. When he was told the cost, he then, and only then, went into his pocket for the money to pay. Like that was a surprise......
