  1. What part do you disagree with? You had 4 shots on target according to live scores.
  2. St mirren are a horrible team to play against, really hard working, well drilled and physical. Throw the ball in the box as much as possible and hope something breaks off main etc. Not pretty to watch but there's more than one way to skin a cat I suppose. Hearts were far too slow moving the ball and made it easy to shut down at times. Great goal when we finally got going. Ref was God awful, penalty I didn't get a great view of but I'm so confused by what is and isn't deemed a handball now. 3 points, move on.
  3. I think to say we've not been in the game is a stretch ! Also I'm obviously biased but saints haven't played well, unless you are talking work rate etc.
  4. Same at our bit, folk packed into N, wee man got a thump in the nose when the 3rd went in. The missiles need to stop, we have plenty arseholes aswell but that Roseburn stand at a derby churns out a lot of projectiles. Hearts might end up cutting the allocation which would ruin he atmosphere. On the game first half Hearts were good, I thought Mckay and Snodgrass were a cut above and Gino and Devlin put the hard yards in. Second half Jibs were obviously going to be better and Hearts looked happy to sit in. I thought Youan looks like there's a player there and even mcgeady caused some problems albeit our wing backs were both off. Hibs have some decent players but the bloated squad and players that were too old two years ago need cleared out. Their experience is Hanlon and Stevenson who have only played spl football, Snodgrass is ours and you can see the difference.
  5. Should've.... Don't think grant should've been sent off and Gordon looks to have got the ball. Thought Hearts were the better team today, Motherwell had 60 minutes with an extra man. Their 433 is far to easy to play through the middle of. Van veen is a top player at this level, that finish was first rate. Hearts dug in though , cochrane my motm but snodgrass and Shankland both put shifts in too.
  6. I couldn't figure Ross County out, one minute we have a goal kick and they are pressed right up and then next 11 men behind the ball playing for a draw in a winnable game.
  7. Pleasing After the week you've had I'm pleased you found something to be pleased about
  8. Souttar played the ball. Cochrane was a daft wee laddie and Mcginn seen it a mile off. There's a difference between being robust and getting stuck in and just being stupid and reckless. Maloney said he asked his players to play on the edge, they did and it cost you the game imo or certainly leaving Newell on the park did.
  9. Hows that his fault? He wasn't on the pitch to defend the corner. He's said he picked the team to specifically deal with that threat aswell so he was aware it may harm them. I think he's done remarkably well.
  10. What do you expect from Martindale? Livi staying in the league is surely the first aim. Few seconds from top six is a great job imo. BTW stonewall penalty on Devlin. We moan players dive, if refs aren't giving fouls like that no wonder they do.
  11. Much as its fun to sell more tickets I actually enjoy Hampden more when the day trippers don't bother like Celtic in 2012. Hard to be massively excited about tomorrow with this looming, Mckay signing up adds to the feel good factor just need a result tomorrow to keep it going.
  12. Tbf I never said getting back would take an hour. The argument about kick off time is around it being too early to get through etc. Even if it's two hours it's not like many other countries where the distance covered is far greater, you genuinely wouldn't go to a league cup semi final against hibs? As for your old boy, sorry his health is a barrier.
  13. I don't think many of your points will contribute to many people not going. If you are a Hearts or hibs fan not going to a game of this magnitude an hour away because it kicks off earlier than usual or its Easter your aren't much of a fan. Trains Edinburgh to Glasgow are roughly 10 an hour, ticket prices are shite agreed but everything is overpriced these days.
  14. I think Halliday isn't the best example for your point. He's not a starter at Hearts but can do a job in a few positions at our level. I've been a critic of his but actually in the last couple of months every time he's been called upon he's done pretty well. Longer contracts is the only way some clubs will attract the players. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't. Hearts in general have shifted our signing policy significantly to try get some money from down south. I think Moravcik was 33 when he signed for celtic
  15. Really good game of football, everything you want from a cup game with two teams trying to win. Hearts were the better team overall but Saints going for it made it really enjoyable, the pass from tait was better than brophys finish and Ronan has hit a worldie. I thought Haring and baningime were excellent, two DCMs but they got forward very well to support and it made it night and day compared to a few weeks ago when we weren't very productive going forward. Kingsley is so good in a back three imo, happy to carry the ball forward. Good game.
