  1. Pretty shocked that Finnie didn't get more of a chance at Hamilton he was only 16 when we signed him and he didn't look out of place at all,an excellent player. I'd definitely take him back especially with our lack of defenders. Smith is like a young Stevie Murray in stature now (although considerably taller) so if one of them picks up an injury we're screwed. I don't know how they do it but Hamilton seem to produce some excellent players (McArthur,McCarthy,Finnie,Kirkpatrick,Ziggy Gordon). Shame we very rarely see a youth player become a first team regular, although Coleman and McKerracher could well break through soon.
  2. Think he's contracted to the end of the season with them but if he continues to bang in the goals he could be a decent signing. He's a PE teacher aswell so it would be unlikely he'd want to go full time.
  3. I wouldn't take big Jimmy back,he was superb last season but I doubt he could do it again this year. I wouldn't be averse to bringing McShane back, he's certainly a better option than Nish/Smith and has plenty of experience at this level,he's still relatively young too.
  4. In other news Paul Nugent played and scored for the Vale on Saturday. Good to see him back in football.
  5. If he doesn't extend his loan in January another centre back is desperately needed. Who else have we got that can play there? Scott Smith?(a central defensive paring of him and the chase is too slow imo) Recall Joe Coleman?,(he's really very young to be playing in the Championship). I would imagine that will be the area where we see the most transfer activity in January. We really need more than 2 centre backs for the typical Sat/Wed/Sat nature of Feb/March.
  6. http://www.youthfootballscotland.co.uk/component/k2/item/7933-edusport-express-keeps-rolling-on Match report from a game against the Edusport academy (5 Nov). Interesting team especially the Trialist (Finlay?) and Noble who both seemed to play well.
  7. When I first read it I thought it said "Xmas cancelled" I was pretty devastated tbh.
  8. Women that I knew had huge eyes and always wore her hair pulled really far back. She was known behind her back by everybody as Gollum.
  9. Kenny Shiels will get it imo..........or i could just be trying to convince myself.
  10. Seconded! That is without a doubt the best nickname I've ever heard!
  11. My Granda worked with a guy called Avalanche because when ever you asked him to do something he said he'd love to but he was snowed under.
  12. Just got thinking today about nicknames, what's the best nickname you've heard. My brothers PE teacher Mr Mcaveety (No idea if that's how you spell it but its how its pronounced) was spotted at the Avicii concert in Glasgow. He is now universally referred to as Mr McAvicii. My favourite is 'One size' which is of course Fitz Halls nickname. What other classic nicknames to the P&B community know? Meant to add I had a history teacher called Miss Barr, she taught us about pre war Germany and by the end of the term was referred to by almost everyone in the class as Kaiser Barrhelm, instead of Wilhelm. Quite liked that one!
  13. Aye it was, that was in March. Surely they would've done something about it before now......I suppose it is the SFA. I just checked Andy's photos from this seasons game on Facebook and in the second half Mr Muzz is on the bench towards the end of the second half,so it definitely wasn't this season. Don't know why they wouldn't act before now.
  14. Bagsy sitting next to him In all seriousness though this couldn't get much worse, both midfielders and now the manager out. Strange I don't remember him getting sent to the stand in the Accies game either.
  15. Stephen Hughes has signed for East Fife tonight. Any other decent midfielders available? A quick look at the PFA website says naw. Loanee from Hibs might be the only option.
  16. In the paper that Aggy has a suspected hernia and will be out for 6-8 weeks. Bad news that couldn't have came at a worse time with Shugs injury aswell.
  17. Aye I'm a bit concerned aswell, this mysterious housing company, selling the car park not the ground, the board not saying anything, concerning times. I would be up for a move but as long as it benefits and doesn't hamper us financially. There better be standing room in a new ground aswell!
  18. We do need defensive cover, anyone know where he plays?,hopefully he'll be a centre back.
  19. I really like the idea of a Morton hating nutcase running about our midfield,In you come Sir Shug of Paisley!
  20. I'm developing some form of man crush for oor Shug.
  21. Didn't know that Ross was still playing, good to hear.
  22. 3rd division winning teams was David McEwan (Larkhall Thistle) Gordon lennon Pat Boyle (On trial at Airdrie) Mick Dunlop (Albion Rovers) Ben Gordon (Alloa) Ross Clark (Cambuslang Rangers) Ryan McStay (Irvine Meadow) Ross Forbes (Partick Thistle) Denis Mclaughlin (Rutherglen Glencairn) Derek Carcary (Brechin) Stevie Murray (retired) Think that's all correct.
  23. Chris Turner Scott Agnew Paul McGinn Mark Gilhaney Steven McDougall (In no particular order to prevent arguments!)
