  1. Ros the hooker is bound to become Queen of all of Westeros after beating the White Walkers to death with her antler dildo.
  2. Ah right. He just seems like 'Some guy' in the TV show and in the first book, so it's not particularly important. You can have another 'some guy' assume his role if, in the event Martin ever finishes another book before his massive coronary, he turns out to be important. I've heard that the guy who plays Rakharo is off to film a movie or something, hence the change. But really, at this point, he is still just pretty much 'some guy' again and someone else can assume his role too. Quite a few characters have been cut generally, and rightly so in most cases. There are far too many random characters even for a 1,000 page book nevermind for 10 hours of TV, and
  3. Who have they killed that is influential in the books? I can't think of a single death that hasn't matched what is in the books. Okay, maybe some random Dothraki got the bullet rather than Roxanne McKee but I think we can live with that.
  4. How do you kill a character who is quite influential in the future? This doesn't make sense.
  5. Lethal injection would be an appropriate punishment imo. Otherwise none of my Dead Pool picks are gonna die.
  6. Give this guy his own spin-off Also great news - Renewed for a 3rd season GoT - Renewed for a 3rd season 3rd book's the best so far I'd say.
  7. Having watched the 2nd episode Hope these early leaks don't affect the US ratings too much - it would be horrific if this was cancelled before its time.
  8. I'd watch the show 1st I reckon. The big moments are more impactful on the custard and jelly.
  9. Looks from the trailer like they've gone for CGI direwolves this series too, which makes sense. Not only are they supposed to be much larger than normal dogs, but they seem to have a pretty significant part to play at times and I think they didn't feature them too much in the 1st series because they weren't easy to train. I imagine generally a lot more will be getting spent on CGI this series too. Can't fucking wait either! Got the Blu-Ray to keep me til then anyway - Don't want to pirate this because I really don't want to see it cancelled before they film A Storm of Swords, and it just looks spectacular.
  10. It says 'Your name'. Absolutely hilarious. Also, wtf is that 2nd from the left? Guy? Girl? Velociraptor?
  11. Am I right in thinking Celtic are the only club where a board member has categorically stated 'We don't need Rangers'?
  12. Well that's a very defeatist attitude. With Ally McCoist still at the helm of Rangers II: Die Harder I think you can give it a go.
  13. I definitely think they should start at the bottom tier, there should be absolute outcry if they think they can diddle the taxpayer out of £75m with little consequences. Supporters should be putting pressure on clubs to not let this happen as soon as it is suggested. They probably wont though, footballing boycotts are famously half-arsed. I also think that starting from the bottom would spread a bit of wealth around the lower leagues and give clubs in the 3rd, 2nd and 1st divisions a much needed boost.
  14. Godwin's Law - "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a Hitler parody video approaches 1"
  15. Main things I learned from my wasting company time at the CoS - being in journalism is boring as f**k, numpty **** from Edinburgh think that "Sellick will never survive wiout Rainjurz" and the woman from STV can twitter quicker than I can take in information.
  16. It's a reference to Booker T saying that to Hulk Hogan by accident away back in the day, but spose I'd better
  17. I'll have you know I'm the court jester. Anyway, it's being heard before Lord Menzies as we speak, unfort didnt have time to pop down. Reckon I'll be able to grab some ice cream from High St and be back in time for HMRC's pro wrestling style promo. "Rangers, we comin' for you..."
  18. I'm actually heading to the Court of Session just now for work! What a fucking happy coincidence!!
  19. So he is an annoying c**t for a living? Why am I not surprised.
  20. (From left to right, only counting those facing the camera) 1) Would 2) Would 3) 4 pints 4) would, 5) 6 pints tbh. Not particularly horrific (unless there's a cock out or an Adam's apple somewhere that I'm missing. In those circumstances I'd possibly need a couple more pints).
  21. I thought dead ringer for Goro when I saw it.

    The Wire

I must admit, I never really got into Mad Men, but my abiding impression of it was that Don Draper is a big dod of wood in a suit.

    The Wire

It's a slow burner in the beginning but I think if you're not getting into it by the 8th episode, it's really not worth persevering. Although, having looked at episode synopses online, I think it was actually episode 9 - Game Day - where I really started to get hooked. The Wire's less episodic than most TV programmes too, even taking into account the best of the rest from HBO; each series is one big story so maybe it is worth persevering after all To quote Lester Freamon 'All the pieces matter'.
