  1. Sorry to see him go, but probably for the best after Saturday. AJ being very positive about pushing for the play offs, assume he means the top four! Hope fully we'll see a couple of quality players in this week. Onwards and upwards #believe
  2. Let’s hope AJ’s got a couple of decent players lined up to bring in. i get the feeling it’s going to be a close one again this season. I’m sure we won’t go in as bad a run as last season though
  3. Thankfully Utd pulled one back against Morton.
  4. My apologies, I was looking at the official account. I'll keep an eye on that in future.
  5. What has? Last update was the prize draw result. Nothing about a signing. It doesn't look like the club has said anything on any social media outlet or the website about a signing today. Where did this come from?
  6. From the Motherwell site David made the jump from the Under 18s to professional football with the reserves in early 2019, and has enjoyed a rapid development since. A tall, commanding centre back, the youth academy product is a key member of Maurice Ross’ defence and his rise was such that he made his first team debut at the end of the 2018/19 campaign. With plenty of development time ahead of him, David will continue to push from the fringes of the first team squad to make the breakthrough – and has every chance of doing so.
  7. Trying not to be negative, however, the 2 proposed loan signings do not inspire confidence. If we're bringing in a young CB from Motherwell, does that suggest that Brownlie is indeed away? That would mean Semple taking Brownlie's place with the loan signing as back up. We still need at least one decent winger. On the plus side, we're 6th. The only team around us to have had a decent window so far are Thistle. We're still capable of staying up.
  8. What are you expecting? Full details of the players we are looking at? If he came out and told us we were going to make a particular signing and it didn't happen, this thread would be full of more negative comments. We're all desperate to see new faces, but we want the best we can get. Let's leave it to AJ and we can judge him a the end of the season. In fact, is it fair to judge the management team on this season's squad? They only had a few months to fill almost an entirely new squad, one transfer window.
  9. Good luck to him. Crucial 10 days ahead for AJ and the board. So what do we need? Goalkeeper, winger, striker? Creative midfielder?
  10. Not surprised but means we've lost a decent player for next season. Time we got some of the other guys on deals before we lose them.
  11. Money talks. Thistle have got their Lottery winner in charge now, they may have cash to throw around. With the majority of our guys only on deals until the end of the season, it looks like another rebuilding job. We really need players tied down on longer deals so that we have continuity and the nucleus of a squad.
  12. Any news on the injury front? Both clubs need the 3 points from this game, got a draw written all over it!
  13. With January coming up, the majority of the squad are on one year contracts. Who would you like to see us try and hold onto for next season? Who's on the wish list to bring in?
  14. I don’t get to see many games and given the comments on here re previous games, I really feared the worst for last night. I was pleasantly surprised! The defence looked fairly solid, Kilday looks a no nonesense centre half. Holt and Mercer looked good, McCrorie excellent. Midfield could do with a Steve Tosh/Neil McFarlane combo and maybe another winger. Forwards looked good, Dobbie coming back to form/fitness and Hamilton gaining gaining confidence. I would suggest that’s a positive result, neither team deserved the win. We could even have taken all three points with a bit more luck towards the end. Onwards and upwards!
  15. I know. But a great example of the passion we need.
  16. We need the passion back, someone to instil some fight and pride in the team.
  17. According to his Wiki page, he made 30+ appearances for Utd each season before leaving for Falkirk this year. He can't have declined that badly in such a short space of time. Surely?
  18. I've been following Queens for 45 years, lots of highs and lows over that time. For some reason, this feels like one of the worst periods. It's as if we're at a turning point. If this slide can't be turned around, I fear relegation and a long, dismal spell in the wilderness.
  19. Slightly off topic, however, any Glasgow Doonhamers fancy getting together for a few/lot of trips to Palmy this season? Let me know
