Thought it would be the other way about tbh. Wigan's team vs Dundee looked stronger than there one vs us but I'm just basing that on I how many players I recognised.

I'm strangely looking forward to today's game. Think our starting XI will be as close to next Saturday's as possible. I'd expect Stevo to start today but not next week and if there's any trialists then they'll probably start too.

Scored for fun in the under 20s/development leagues. Didn't score very much in his loan spells but still impressed. Had a few very bad injuries in the last couple seasons. He was training with us for pre-season but hasn't played in any friendlies so obviously we were just helping him get back fit.

Edward Ofere was training with us at Garscube today.

I couldn't seeing him cutting it at this level. He's a billy big baws too and will be on a silly amount at Ibrox.

Like Archie, I'm fine with going with Frans, Seaborne, Lindsay and Hendry. I'm surprised how comfortable Hendry has been in the first team. Thought he'd need another season in the development squad before challenging for a first team spot but Archie and Shaggy see him as a first team player and they're much better to judge than me. Lindsay is definitely ready for the first team. The boy is a mountain and a very good defender. I actually wanted him in the first team last season (#hipster). He'll get game time this season due to him being left sided and Seaborne loving an injury. Hopefully he steps up and we extend his contract soon. Hopefully the strikers we're looking at have pace rather than being a target man. I'd presumed they do because if it was a target man we were after then Alabi may have got more of a shot. I still think we need we need someone else in who's a natural in the Stevo role. Wilson and Fraser can play there but I think they're better playing deeper. Welsh is good there but he's Welsh. Dean Shiels would be an ideal signing but we wouldn't be able to offer anything near, or even half, what he was on at Ibrox.

0-0 HT. Excellent in the first 20, Wigan had most of the ball since. Hendry looking comfortable. Osman dominant. Welsh got a knock. Lawless looking lively as usual. Amoo = rapid ETA: Osman wearing the armband over Welsh. Makes sense since there's a chance Welsh could be off in a couple months (hopefully not though).

How did Jordan Leyden do in his brief loan spell last season? He's part of our first team this season and has played in all our first-teams pre-season games. He was excellent in the development league but just wondering what he did for you guys?

I went to probably about (50-70%) of games last season. SLJ would've been at most, if not all, though.

Thank f**k I'm working or I would've probably caved in at the last minute thinking "it won't be that bad" and went. Although, our bounce game with Dumbarton was a good watch with headbutts and bad tackles.
