  1. Exactly. Fauldhouse had plenty of time to get in a late application but chose not to do so. There would need to be three more teams trying to get in at the last minute so that all the divisions have the same amount of teams.
  2. There is one pro-junior member of the committee who has been the voice of doom, claiming that once EOS hit 32 teams then applications will start to be declined. He also said that Dundonald weren't moving at last night's meeting despite the tweet they'd issued 3 hours earlier stating they were going. I don't know if he's your source. Didn't Fauldhouse say that they were choosing between the EOS and West juniors? Staying in the East juniors wasn't an option.
  3. After two interesting meetings Saints will be putting their application in to the EOS. All indications are that the application will be looked on favourably. Last Friday there was an overwhelming vote to stay junior but there was some frustration amongst the supporters that neither of the new management team were able to make the meeting. After speaking to the management team and given the remarkable rushtowards the EOS since Friday it was felt there should be a second meeting. This was as well attended as the first and the management team's passion and confidence that they can build a team to compete in the seniors was instrumental in converting most of the doubters. As stated in the official statement it was agreed that whatever the result of the vote everyone needed to get behind the club. The mood was positive.
  4. Craigroyston and Dunbar were not at last night's meeting and weren't included in the new league set up for next season which tells you all you need to know about the prospects for their applications.
  5. There's only 47 teams in the East region once Dunbar and Craigroyston leave hence the 16-16-15 leagues.
  6. I believe that the East Region have now committed to having a full fixture list up to Xmas in place before the end of June.
  7. I was talking about the SPFL. I am aware that very few clubs will ever grace the national leagues but it should be the dream for all teams in the pyramid. Can I just clarify that I personally would like to see an all in pyramid system. However if clubs are moving to the EOS league I want them to do it because they want to better themselves, whether that is through obtaining their licence, improving facilities or moving up the leagues not just because it will reduce their trips across the Queensferry Crossing.
  8. See my previous post. If Newtongrange or Penicuik move to the EOS and are really successful they will be travelling much further than Tayside!!
  9. Why do we need to further regionalise the LL? Especially when the winners will be playing off for the right to play in a national league. If Fraserburgh can go to Fort William and Cove can travel to Wick then there shouldn't be a problem with Beith travelling to Spartans or Kelty going to Hurlford. If one thing really annoys me in the juniors it is this obsession with having to travel.
  10. It's difficult to plan for further resignations until you know who's going.
  11. The plan is to try and implement an east/west super league from season 19/20 at tier 6. If that goes ahead then there wouldn't be relegation from the super league next season.
  12. Anniston have sold their ground for housing and will be moving into a new ground with an artificial pitch the season after next.
  13. There was no mention at all from Arniston about moving to the EOS on Saturday. All the talk was about their new ground.
  14. I've literally just read it but It's not on the Sun website. He makes a lot of sense.
  15. For me amalgamating the North and South and running a 16-16-17 set up would be the best. The alternatives would be a 12-12 super and premier with the other 25 split between north and south. The problem with that is two teams being relegated from the super without expecting it not to mention going back to a 22 game season. Or a 16 team super with two regional leagues of 17 and 16 teams which is the worst option for me.
  16. What was the result of your meeting on Saturday morning? Is your application to the EOS league still in place?
  17. I actually posted that over a week ago and for some reason I managed to do it again so apologies. I hope the Dundonald news isn't true. Another case of Project Fear working.
  18. Posted that again in error. Word today is that Dundonald may have withdrawn their application. The sooner we get to Thursday night the better.
  19. No one appears to be prepared to divulge this information so supporters as always are left in the dark. There is plenty of speculation about who's involved(not aĺl of it accurate) so it seems like we'll have to wait until some time after the EOS EGM on the 26th to actually find out what's happening. In the meantime page after page of this thread is filled with pointless discussion over possible set ups in two seasons time rather than discussing the current developments which are surely of more importance.
  20. Funnily enough I heard tonight that Sauchie had applied but as they've never been mentioned before I just thought it was more of the speculation that surrounds this topic. At least we'll find out a week tomorrow. Or will we?
  21. I thought Tranent had applied and more from the South. Craigroyston?
  22. I believe that Haddington's representative at the recent East Region meeting stated that they had applied and my information is that Dundonald have as well but Bathgate is a completely new addition to the list.
  23. I believe a step back to that set up is being considered. So from a premier league in which every team was capable of beating each other(Kirrie v Mussy) we'll be going to a regional league where the bottom teams will be conceding over a hundred goals. The only thing I can hope is that the decision is made as soon as possible after the 26th so that teams and their supporters will know if they are actually playing for anything this season.
