  1. While I get over the crushing disappointment of that Nintendo Direct I've been playing Mario 3D World/Bowser's Fury. Those beautiful b*****ds at Nintendo have done it again.
  2. That's being very, very, very generous. FWIW I am a Polworth fan. Last season he was great. Some of his through balls for wingers to run on to were delicious. Unfortunately when we had to put Turnbull in the shop window he emptied his toys out the pram and hasn't kicked a ball since. Granted neither have many others. There was a point when we were playing Campbell, Donnelly & Polworth and the midfield was so balanced it was delightful to see. Campbell going box-to-box, Donnelly kicking lumps out of folk and Polworth playing football.
  3. Aye I get that. I think the galling bit of the last two games is that we've failed to lay a glove on either Accies or St Johnstone. Not that I was expecting 6 points but christ at least make teams work for win.
  4. Absolutely agree. Erwin only really looked like a proper forward when he had McDonald screaming & shouting at him for 90 minutes. I know they are of unknown quality by comparison but I think we all kind of assumed Nolan was going to be an experienced centre back to drop in, and there would maybe be some quality from elsewhere. Who fucking knows though. Just get this godforsaken season so far to f**k already.
  5. I loved Ally Gorrín. But Donnelly was better in that role imo. There's just a weird apathetic vibe off the team this season. I mean ffs the play off season we managed to occasionally get our shit together enough to pump a couple of teams despite us being largely shite. I wouldn't back us to comfortably beat anyone right now. There's been a training game look about us. I get that having no fans takes some of the adrenaline out of a game but we are so passive. Right now it looks like about 80% of our team are happy to pick up a wage but they're all counting down the days until they can find a new club.
  6. I thought Johnston was fine tbh. Out his depth is a bit harsh. He had a couple of good bits of sweeping but probably tired towards the end which is understandable given that was probably his first 90 minutes of actual football in about a year. The front 3 isn't working now, the midfield leaves us far too exposed. Like fucking hell the number of times we'd play the ball into Polworth, he'd play a daft ball up front and then it got lost and came straight back to us was criminal.
  7. I think what annoys me is bringing in so many players who are all broken/unfit. We're in a shit fight. We don't have time to work people up to match fitness by April. That bench today was arguably the weakest bench we've had all season long.
  8. He's been better than Polworth & Crawford today. But this is just the least likeable Motherwell team I can remember. If Alexander blames the offside for the result I will absolutely scream.
  9. Just looked at our bench and it's arguably weaker than at any point this season. Also f**k off Polworth.
  10. Just fucking get this cursed season over and done with so I don't need to deal with it for a couple of months.
  11. My only take on Murray Davidson is that the physios must be bored as f**k treating him.
  12. Tbf our media team probably earn their crust having to keep tabs on 50 c***s at a time.
  13. Can't wait to see Maguire thrown back to centre half since that worked out really well last time he done it against St Johnstone. So we're likely either going to crowbar a midfielder in to centre back or right back. The alternative is to throw a 17 year old in which is a big roll of the dice. Our only way of getting anything is to hope that Saints have a collective shocker and throw in a couple of goals.
  14. Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Johnston was brought on to give him a run out since he's the only available right back now. Grimshaw's been out with whatever this illness is (covid related? who knows!) and I suspect if Mugabi's out we'll be putting O'Hara to centre back.
  15. My takeaways from the Inside Motherwell: Bevis seems like a lovely guy. Thought to remain angry at him. Hope he's having a lovely day tbh. I am a huge, huge fan of Chris Long probably being told "listen mate, the fans think you're a moody b*****d" and him absolutely doubling down on it. I thought we were all taking the piss when we blamed the number 99 so absolutely fair play to him for running with it. The John Hunter stand looks great. Contactless payments in the stadium, finally.
