I expect a game of football that will be a horrendous watch as two teams attempt to kick a football to death. Regrettably I'm missing this on Saturday and instead am taking in Barcelona - Deportivo Alaves. I feel there will be less hammers being thrown and, honestly, I am sad about that.

Bigi & Tanner in the second half of the defeat to Thistle last season were fantastic. Shame the game was gone before they came on.

Aye pretty much. If the full back tackles him in the first 5 minutes we'd be as well hooking him because he looks scunnered. Still. Be interesting to see how the cup game goes on Saturday. The pitch shouldn't prove any problem for us as the ball will never be fucking on it.

I think he's looked like he's lost all confidence in the last few months. That run you're on about he would try and take on a defender and cross it. Now he's just not doing it. We really are lacking creativity between midfield and attack. Craig Tanner is a huge miss, but he's not kicked a ball in months so I'd expect him to take while to get back to anything approaching sharp.

It's the same as last year in that when a team sits in and we have to break them down we look completely bereft of ideas. We brought on Gorrín and Frear for creativity and the pair of them likely need treatment for whiplash from watching the ball get fired over their fucking heads. Ultimately we'll be fine, but goodness me we were absolutely shite.

Putting a ball playing defender in midfield is the ultimate shout from yer auld da.

I suppose the flip side to the squad being bloated is that we had an absolute b*****d of a time through December last year with injuries and had to assemble a squad out of sellotape and cardboard. Hopefully we look a bit less terrible this weekend. Campbell's return will be massive for is. I'm praying for Lenny Sowah to start again.

As @thisGRAEME says Sammon is an upgrade of sorts. When you think last season we had Main, Bowman, Ciftci (when fit), perma-crock Newell and Petracompetitionwinner it wasn't exactly a wealth of goals. Who knows, maybe playing in a team of total hammer throwers is how you get the best out of Sammon.

Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing is absolutely superb. It's quite similar to The Trip but without them taking on a character.

I think McHugh was an easy target for people, particularly some of the roasters that sit near me. Don't get me wrong there were games where he was pretty terrible, but then other games where he was pivotal to our whole team. Hartley is an obvious choice for captain, and I'd argue that he was doing the job on the park anyway. His first game for us you could see him barking orders to the rest of the team. Also I fucking love the big man because he is a warrior.
