  1. From my understanding we had him on the radar in the event that Marvin Johnson's deal wasn't done. Then we ended up with them both. He seems to have done alright since tbf.
  2. You called it - the big money job - had £2100 accepted but then did such a piss poor job (his fault because he didn't buy enough) that they were only willing to pay £400. He was obviously attempting to make profit by doing things on the cheap but ffs that was an embarrassment. He should have been sent packing as well.
  3. This is why I’m sad he’s been papped out. I’d have loved to watch him getting tied up in knots by the interviewers. Probably the right decision to get rid of him, but the PM was fucking pointless as well. He’s the only one with any experience of any sort in that industry and he looked like he was incapable of running a bath.
  4. Aye I know what you mean. Which makes it infuriating when we've been playing with a back 3 with absolutely no pace for most of the season. We struck the perfect balance last season and it's all over the shop now. 100% this. The one that always comes back to me is the 3-2 loss at Firhill last December. I mind walking up to the stadium and, while trying not to slip and fall on my arse, checking the line up thinking why the f**k are we attempting to shithouse a game against Thistle. All due respect to them but they were absolutely pish and we set up with an incredibly defensive and stodgy looking team. Admittedly we had Griffiths in goals who couldn't keep weans out of a close but they went in at half time 3-0 up. I mean, for f**k sake, even Conor Sammon scored. We brought Tanner and Bigi on in the second half and ripped them to bits but the game was already too far gone.
  5. I did find it odd that Tait was thrown in front of the camera. I mean we'll never know how it came about but you'd think it would be the club captain who'd be doing that kind of thing. I'd be quite interested to see what happens when Dunne gets back to full fitness. I think Hartley's been fucking grim at times this season. His lack of pace is hard going, and he's brutal for giving away daft free kicks. But he's the captain so I don't think he'll be dropped. Obviously McHugh's made the job easier for selection next week but he's been a fucking nightmare for stupid bookings this season. The Livingston game in particular he just totally lost his head after the first booking. He really needs to screw the nut because we cannot afford a hothead who gets suspended every month. Bigi may end up getting fired out of the team again which is quite harsh. Playing him on the left and expecting him to cover in defence is never going to happen, but he keeps the ball well. But, as I said before, Sunday's loss was down to us being a team entirely made up of shitebags. You can't really blame Robinson for an entire team downing tools with an hour of football still to play. Which is off because when you saw us a lot of the time last season that's the last thing you'd have called us out for.
  6. Aye it's not exactly the most positive outlook but Dundee look mince and St Mirren look fucked beyond repair. If you said we'd end this season in 9th with no real sweat I'd probably take it this season.
  7. Had we been before the play offs and we'd just finished 11th it would be looked back on as a complete stinker. However kicking Rangers up and down the place for 180 minutes really, really helps with the old rose-tinted specs.
  8. This is nailed on that the guy who does this for a living will be absolutely fucking useless.
  9. I mean we've always signed our fair share of complete huddies but that's life I suppose. Treading old ground but out transfer window was supposedly about "strengthening 12-18" which blatantly didn't work. Especially when you consider the standard of players that we lost in Kipré, Moult, Ciftci, Tanner, Dunne etc. through transfers and injuries and have never come close to replacing. My main beef with Saturday's results is how big a set of shitebags we are. I'll admit that I think McHugh's two bookings were soft but unless Craig Thomson banged in a hat trick up the other end he's not to blame for losing seven goals. We were right in the game then the red card came around and the other 10 folk just completely chucked it. 10 men isn't the end of the world and you'd still expect us to be able to sit in and at least be hard to break down but you'd see better defending in primary school football. I still don't think we should give Robinson the boot yet as I'd be concerned who the f**k we'd bring in to replace him. Another Baraclough and end up in the same state as St Mirren now?
  10. The highlight for me was the point that the Jet Pop uniform was "wipe clean".
  11. I can't actually think of a Motherwell player who boiled my piss as much as that workshy, diving, useless b*****d.
  12. If you're in Glasgow Central and want to know what time it is. It's time to #respect the #fallen.
  13. What's actually the script with George Newell? The guy looks like he's blowing out his arse after 10 minutes when I've seen him and he appears to have ankles held together with sellotape and happy thoughts.
  14. He probably had more pressure on him in the first half on Saturday but for his goal the marking was nothing short of disgraceful. He probably had about 15 yards around him in which he could take a first touch, turn and get a dig away. To take nothing away from it, I should add. He couldn't have hit it any sweeter and it was a total screamer. I thought he looked very good in the couple of games at the tail end of last season. I mean ffs he put in a cross so good even Bowman couldn't miss.
  15. Aye. Turnbull looks like the game drops in to slow motion every time the ball gets near him. Where other folk panic and try and get rid of it he still has the composure with 2-3 folk around him to pick a neat pass to a team mate. You say we should take it for granted but Ryan Bowman takes a first touch like a dug chasing a tennis ball round the park.
  16. The meltdowns on Twitter and Steelmen Online when we got rid of DT23 were absolutely ridiculous tbqhwy. The guy was in and around the first team for 3-4 years, managed the sum total of one assist and never held down a place in the first team. He then went to Kilmarnock where he got a handful of appearances before getting turfed out on loan to the lower leagues at every opportunity. Consider me shocked that he's turned out to not be very good. Cadden came in and looked a bit shaky to begin with but then has made the most of what his strengths are i.e. his strength and engine to keep going for 90 minutes. Campbell is a battler in midfield who we all love. Hall looked promising but I think he was helped massively by having McManus in beside him. I mind in the 20s cup final he was rank rotten. It's obviously still very early days for Turnbull but he looks very, very good. He's got a level of composure on the ball that I can't remember seeing for years with us and the way he strikes a ball even to play passes around is superb. I'd love to see us get a few years on his deal and hope he improves more.
  17. The choice was between watching The Apprentice or watching St Mirren - Motherwell tonight. Either way I get to watch a load of gormless c***s running about the place.
  18. Finished watching this last night and I'm still absolutely puzzled at how Brendan Dassey is still in prison for this. Absolutely mental stuff. Bobby Dassey's an absolute wrong'un though. That search history isn't exactly someone battering through Pornhub. I think he done her in, then Scott Tadych found out about it at the time. The daft auld maw knows way more than she's telling any police officer. The way both her and Scott were acting on the phone to Steven was really suspicious. I mean ffs she was threatening to kill herself if they arrested Bobby. The thing that boiled my piss the most about this whole thing is that fucking press conference Ken Kratz held to tell the whole fairytale about how she was killed in the house. Despite there being absolutely zero physical evidence that any of it happened. Is anyone really supposed to believe she was stabbed, had her throat cut and strangled before being taken out the house and into the garage to be shot in the head without there being a single drop of blood found in that trailer? A jury is supposed to vote to convict someone beyond any reasonable doubt and they failed spectacularly here. Zellner's entertaining. I'm not convinced she eats anything. I think she subsists on a diet of 60 cigarettes, chain-smoked every single night.
  19. Been playing through the journey and it's turned into a pain in the arse. Due to my choices in the last game Danny Williams plays for Everton. I'm now against Bayern in the Champions League QF and it's the FIFA equivalent of fucking Dark Souls.
