I think Lamie is fine for us. He's nowhere near the best, but equally he's just about serviceable. Johansen sold him up the river at the first goal by heading off round Tim Hortons for a coffee which meant Lamie had to gamble and found himself in the middle of nowhere. The fact we all have known for about 18 months that our current set of centre backs would have us in a relegation scrap and nothing has been done about it is a failing that is hee haw to do with Hammell.

I am buckled at the fella reminding Burrows it's January. Like he's no hung up his new signed calendar or has been cutting about wondering if he's forgotten to turn the oven off, pick up milk on the road home or sign a centre forward.

In shit seasons gone by we had something that could drag us through. Whether that was Campbell cementing folk and setting a standard or Ainsworth/Johnson turning up once in every 15 games to ping one into the top corner. What we currently have is such an incredibly soft side with nothing to paper over the cracks. I mean ffs at one point we had Tony fucking Watt dragging us through games. Defence: Soft as shite. Johansen is a calamity at best and Lamie's got enough failings without having to make up for whoever is next to him. Midfield: Still a gaping hole where a 6 should be. A problem we've had for years now. Forwards: KvV is sugar or shite with very little in between. Shields I feel sorry for as his confidence is shot to ribbons but we're throwing him out there every single week.

Johansen is a good looking big c**t but he's fucking toilet at fitba.

Shields and Spittal both need to go off. Shields' confidence has been shot for about 3 months now and Spittal moves like treacle. Wonder if the fella Blaney fancies a game. Cannae be any worse than what we've got.

Compared to Shields that's a superb signing.

I think the problem is that if we need to change a game in any way, shape or form then we have nothing on the bench to do so. Whether that's looking for a goal to win a game, or seeing a game out. When you look at what we had on the bench that day: It's not exactly helpful. Maguire's repeatedly proven that he's nowhere near good enough, Cornelius you'd make an argument for just for the legs and the rest are either kids, attacking options or complete shit.

I think Shields could probably do with a spell out the team but as a few folk have pointed out we have nothing to replace him with. FWIW I thought Cornelius was a welcome improvement to the midfield instead of Spittal being in there. Unfortunately we're still hopeless at the back, in dire need of a 6 and just anybody else to play up front.

His habit of blindly thumping the ball somewhere in the direction of the box from out wide is bursting my tits. Never looks up, never even thinks about it.

The real loser today is football as a sport because that was hoaching.

This entire squad is a mess. We've got a leaky defence, a vacant midfield and one striker who is massively inconsistent. Everyone is either shit or injured. We gave Alexander about 4 months too long and gave him far too much support to build a squad. Now we're up shit creek and need to sign some lads that can bring their own paddles.

The weird bit about McGinley is he's just dropped off the radar with whatever this injury is. Not that I'm suggesting it's the dreaded knee but he's been out for ages now with no update.

It's not the undersoil heating that's the problem. It's the many, many holes in the stadium that's called Saturday's game off.
