I'd still like another 6 in to cover any injuries. I think Maguire's role is realistically to come on as a sub if we need another body in there. The Goss redemption arc is underway and I really hope it continues. Now we're effectively telling him to pass the ball around instead of playing on the left and expecting him to tackle he looks like a great asset. Football isn't that difficult, just play folk where they are supposed to play.

The second half particularly was just terrible refereeing decisions from start to finish. Shortly before the penalty the referee and assistant completely missed an obvious corner so when I saw the two of them staring at each other looking gormless again I assumed it was a who blinks first again about corner/goal kick. So when he pointed to the spot I laughed out loud. As far as the game went perhaps a draw would have been fair but given that we attempted to force the issue and find a goal I'll take it. No chance would we have sent on attacking options in that game last season. I don't remember Kelly having to do anything that wasn't routine and though Sol & Lamie dealt with Nouble really well. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say we created more clear cut chances in that second half than we did in about 6 months last season.
