A class display of bed shitting that's very on brand for this complete gang. The defence and goalkeeper look like they're utterly terrified every time they're asked to deal with a set piece because neither trusts the other. As soon as Aberdeen pulled one back you could see the panic set in. I can't see anything about this squad & manager that makes me think going full scorched earth policy in the summer and starting over isn't the best plan.

Roos & Kelly are hilarious under crosses. Blind terror sets in as soon as it's above either of them.

I would honestly say the end of Alexander is the worst I've felt about going to watch Motherwell. Even including that Malpas season where we actually finished bottom, the football we played under Alexander was fucking miserable to watch.

I'm not angry about Friday night. But even the mere mention of that game when they had been relegated to league 2 and we were literally top of the league and McCall had us shitting the bed from about a week before the game gets my blood gently simmering.

I walked out of Cappielow at full time on Friday night with a mixture of disappointment but also feeling like that went exactly the way I expected it to go. Fair fucks to Morton for looking like a team that wanted to win a cup tie. Our squad of duds & shitebags never looked at all up for it. It's disappointing because there's not a single fixture to look forward to now. We should scrape into 10th, hopefully. We should then have a new CEO, Kettlewell's contract is up in the summer so we can shake hands and move on. Most of this fucking terrible squad are out of contract as well so the same goes. I'd keep Spittal and that's about it. So it would be nice if we could have a bit of stability in the running of the club which might have a knock on effect on the playing squad.

Dunno about you lot but I'd quite like to have a season where we didn't lurch from one crisis straight into another.

It is a bit revisionist to say Liam Kelly has always been shite. The first 18 months of his Motherwell career and the last 18 months of it are like two completely different players. At the minute his confidence looks shot to ribbons, you can feel the panic when he's under a cross. It makes sense to just part ways at the end of the season imo.

Morton looked like they were right up for that game and we've assembled a squad of absolute fucking shitebags. Liam Kelly is utter dugmeat.

Somewhere between this and us accepting that Obika will never be fit in his life probably makes sense. Vale showed more about him in this brief spell than Shaw has done entirely.

Went to a Stockport County game on a stag do last season and it was a fucking miserable standard of football. Just teams flinging shite at each other for 90 minutes. Adams claiming L2 is better than our top flight would suggest he's delusional at best. I know for clubs here it's a lottery when you sign a load of players in January but signing duds from FGR & Grimsby to try and stave off the threat of relegation doesn't fill you with confidence.

Aye. I've enjoyed all his books. The complete chaos that involves covering the Tour de France for 3 weeks being diarised is always a laugh. Also getting it in real time with the Never Strays Far podcast with him, David Millar & Pete Kennaugh is great value.
