It's a criticism of both Motherwell & Scotland kits over the past few years. I totally understand that we need to keep the traditional home colours but I would love it if we'd go a bit out there with the away kit design. The Danzaki neon kit from last season was quite good fun. As was the Covid season petrol blue number.

Aye it was like the cheapest of cheap material. Vaguely the right colours and absolutely horrid to wear. Even my prized 1994 away top is horrible to wear on a warm day. Zero breathability.

There's merit to this observation though. Butcher was a huge part in our turnaround last season and really brought the levels of our defence up. Since he came back from that long term injury he has looked miles off it. I'm not suggesting he's to blame last weekend entirely but he certainly had a stinker. Actually on a longer train of thought here. We only made 2 subs at the weekend there instead of 5 the previous Sunday. We all noted that instead of making like-for-like changes Kettlewell rejigged the entire back line to try and fit folk in which threw everything out of kilter. Not to make any assumptions here but perhaps Kettlewell's learned that moving your entire defence around in the last 10 minutes is a stupid idea.

Think he got diagnosed with being a shitebag. Currently there is no cure.

Spittal's one man goal of the season contest has definitely put any hopes of a new contract with us to bed. I'll be sad to see him go because he's a joy to watch when he's on his game.

And, as you point out, I've seen folk buying their newborn kids a Junior Steel membership which obviously rules them out of voting.

Surely that's the sensible option that's won there. It's not binding, we're not about to sell out to some dodgy owner who will asset strip us. The vote purely says that it would be considered. It's fanciful to suggest that some multibillionaire would just chuck us a load of cash without asking for anything in return.

For all he gets a lot of stick I thought SOD was class last night. A few really brilliant crosses into the box and he had one defensive header in the second half that was outstanding. He's not got the legs he had a few years ago but he's still a solid player.
