I didn't know for sure until I checked. They've been working through a fixture backlog so it seemed like a good chance. They've just gone Tues-Thurs-Saturday with Wednesday around the corner.

I think everyone knows the standard ain't great, but a minor cup game when you're going for a league title is hardly a priority. Winning on Wednesday against Wigtown & Bladnoch gives them the edge in the title race, but still means going away to their title rival Creetown in a game they can't afford to lose.

Don't think it can be 16-16-16-11. It's either 4 down all the way or 4 up all the way depending on a deficit or surplus from the LL Play-off. Broxburn go up its 16-16-15-11 SoS/WoS go up it'd be 16-16-15-12.

If Broxburn/Edinburgh University switch places and Rosyth going under. Am I right in thinking the divisions next year will now be: 16-16-15-11

This is often the focus when talking about cup runs. That its the successful club that's being negatively impacted. Which in this case from a Premier point of view would be Darvel getting their season extended. But in order to do that, there's two other clubs forced into extending their seasons through no fault of their own.

The Scottish pyramid is now 10 years old. The English pyramid had plenty of teething problems in the first 10 years and beyond. It didn't just magically come together the way it is now.

With SCC and SJC having end of season dates prioritised. I'm going to guess there's a worry of a conflict in participants dragging things out. Can't remember which one but didn't a recent SJC have a team idle for close to a month? Its one of those things where the SCC and SJC status quo undercuts the WoSFL in many respects. The League takes a cut from both the League Cup and Strathclyde Cup. Because of the SJC status as a Scottish Cup qualifier the Strathclyde Cup is a poor imitation to what it could be. The League Cup playing 3rd fiddle.

As pointed out by HJ the first fixture differs depending on if its a 2 team playoff or a 3 team playoff. These have the potential to be the biggest games of the year for the teams involved and want to get tickets shifted and hospitality sorted sooner than later. Not do a late scramble because the West couldn't gets its finger out to finish the season on time.

Its what happens when cups are prioritised over league fixtures. I know there was a complaint from some last year where midweek fixtures weren't arranged the week of cup games so that could be the focus. Going to assume that's been the case again.

1st, 4th, 6th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 15th from what I can see. 28th being the WoSFL Cup final.

2018 with the mass of clubs left to the EoS, SFA membership applications were frozen and only opened up again in October. At that point floodlights were rumoured as an upcoming change but were not part of 2018 criteria and 2019 criteria hadn't been published yet. Wouldn't come out until December which is when some clubs started to get their audits. So yeah, there were a number of clubs that were caught out short notice on their initial audits. Things would rumble on into May/June? As there were something like 6 clubs that ticked all the boxes but floodlights. Bonnyrigg getting to install them summer 2019 but still gain promotion to the Lowland League.

March 31st was the deadline for waivers, and it wasn't granted. If you go by the SPFL spokesperson Buckie never even bothered applying. The point of that is to avoid situations like this.

While the spirit of it might be nice, I don't think I agree. Plans have been made. Money taken. Everyone going through the motions. Only to cancel days before is poor.

And the 3 Regions usually imposed ground standards for their top division. Just as the WoSFL does now. Yet none of them did so with any teeth to be meaningful.

I think the mention of a TV deal was just a joke about the original proposal about B team benefits back in 2021.

People still say Brora didn't want promotion in 2015. Won their semi-final Won the 1st leg of the final Go down 1-0 at half-time in the 2nd leg, tying it up 1-1. Minutes into the 2nd half they score to take the lead again. Get a player sent off for a 2nd yellow and eventually lose out. Can only assume somebody made a fortune at the bookies for the amount of effort they put in.

For a show that was only announced this month might be more burning through savings or firing it on the credit card.

Didn't they have to create a new position for Kennie to basically takeover fixtures while keeping SR in post?

None of that is about their current licensing level.

In a way I could see it as a greater chance of existing longer term. One of the reasons they've groundhopped to Alloa, Cumbernauld, and now Dumbarton is to keep up with SPFL/Conference/increasing licensing standards. Takeaway those kind ambitions and just focus on Entry level licensing. It leaves more options open to them.
