  1. I am lead to believe that approximately 15 clubs have applied. Wouldn't surprise given the amount of work that's been shown around clubs social media accounts.
  2. Dalkeith, Blackburn, Tranent, Jeanfield and Haddington are going to have had the licensing officers round before the year ends. These aren't the clubs that would of instantly jumped to mind as being amongst the front of the queue for a license coming from the East Region. I'm sure there would be a lot more than a handful.
  3. Knowing this was round the corner further explains the LL2 Working Group being formed up. The need for floodlights for licensing could be all the excuse for the SJFA to dip out of the pyramid again and limits the scope of any breakaway WoSL. A single division LL2 could take on what would otherwise be the EoS Premier and the divide between EoS First/SoS clubs at tier 7 wouldn't be as great as EoS Premier/SoS at tier 6.
  4. I know from Selkirks case it was meant to be around 60k which they were trying to cobble together through a lot of different grants. There's a breakdown somewhere.
  5. I don't think it'll be an issue then. Once you get a licence that'd be you for a year. Which would likely come up mid-season so you'd get the derogation to the end of 2019-20 at the very least. So there's a year and a half to plan for floodlights and who knows how long they could extend derogations beyond that. I think this is coming along now to prevent the 100+ SJFA clubs being added to the pyramid and distorting the Scottish Cup format.
  6. With an application already in i'm sure they'd be judged on existing criteria. Think it was at least Haddington and Tranent have the licensing officer(s) round next week. Floodlights becoming a requirement has been discussed for a wee while now. The EoS minutes from October made reference to getting applications sooner rather than later because of it. I'm sure for all the clubs currently involved in the process will have been given an insight into floodlights becoming a future requirement. EDIT: Going by this the change might not take effect until ratified at the SFA AGM.
  7. It already exists in the current licensing manual As floodlights as a requirement are only just being introduced i'd imagine a certain amount of leniency to existing members to give them a chance of getting them installed. For new clubs that would be applying for the first time knowing its a set criteria, who knows how they'd handle it.
  8. If you've already got an application in on the present criteria, you'll probably get an exemption. I'm only guessing but i'd imagine the present criteria will run the length of the 2018/19 season before the new criteria kicks in from 2019/20.
  9. I figured there would be something like that in place. Thanks for that.
  10. Going by the social media updates I believe it was Haddington and Tranent that are due to have the SFA inspectors(?) round this month. Going by nonleaguescotland they don't currently have floodlights either.
  11. Is this about anywhere or an update from an EoS meeting?
  12. That's what I reckon. but still think there will be some discussion over going for regionalisation over a seeded draw.
  13. Its the first step in forming one though. They're either going to say there's no need for one or recommend model(s) for how it would work.
  14. Can we not all just accept the fact there's no certainty over the SJFA at Tier 6 with EoS/SoS beginning from the 2019-20 season. Ian Maxwell's email/draft statement has been well and truly superseded at this point. It was immediately denied as a misrepresentation of things by the EoS. The Lowland League would go on to form its Lowland League Two Working Group. The SPFL begins floating the SPFL3 idea around looking for traction. Even if the SJFA agreed to all the administrative side of things during the Nov 14 PWG Meeting, everything else couldn't be answered. HL/LL Boundary? dunno. Promotion and Relegation? dunno. When does the league season have to end? dunno. And on it goes.
  15. Even if the the SJFA at Tier 6 alongside EoS/SoS does come to pass that really only benefits the bigger clubs in the East Region. Some of the Premier South clubs in particular might find it more attractive to move across to the EoS since it could mean more local games for them. Snapshot of South Fife and surrounding Edinbrugh/Lothian area. Purple's EoS, Red Tags are Super League and Red diamonds are Premier South.
  16. 7 years in your fictional world = West League Two, West League One, West Championship, West Premiership, Lowland League 2, League League, SPFL3 5 years in the SJFA's plan = West League Two, West League One, West Championship, West Premiership, Lowland League Any SPFL club that goes bust is probably going to get the opportunity to apply for the vacancy created in the 42 club membership. So Rangers would just be handwaved back in like they were before.
  17. March 31st has been the usual deadline for applications for a while. Until they've got an idea on the number of applicants will be, I doubt they'll have formal proposals on what below the EoS Premier will look like. Especially right now with all the uncertainty over SPFL3, LL2 and the SJFA joining at Tier 6.
  18. I think they will be going by all the work they've been doing. I know its been mentioned that they are working to get the cover for a 100.
  19. They're seperate proposals indepedent of each other. There's nothing to suggest that LL2 would happen if SPFL3 occurs. EDIT: Don't think they even count as proposals at the moment since there's nothing set out other than vague ideas of what they could be.
  20. Reminded me to check how the WOS Wrestling tour was doing sales wise. They've cancelled one show in Bournemouth already. The only interactive map for a show is Southampton where they've sold say 80% of the seats. It will be interesting to see if it does well enough to prolong the WoS/NXTuk divide.
  21. Hopefully the UEL1 and UEL2 have no bonus points or the same level bonus points. That way you should still see movement between say 10-20.
  22. I suppose the one thing that the EoS has in terms of being able to block a decision is the 3 way agreement between the LL, EoS and SoS with regards to promotion and relegation.
  23. I'd never heard of Bonnyrigg or Haddington applying previously. Only that Kelty and Auchinleck were trying at a similar time with both told to join either EoS or SoS with Kelty accepting the idea and Auchinleck rejecting. Haven't seen anything on here about Lochee United applying. Maybe i've overlooked something, but with all the fuss that would bring over North of Tay/EoS/Juniors i'm sure there would of been enough back and forth over it by now.
